Will the non LCI extractor for the gen3 fit the gen4?
It might not.. In fact I don't think it will honestly. The one I put in my gen3 19 didn't work right in my gen4 17. Only one way to find out. Put it in and cycle it by hand.

I was told when I bought my non LCI extractor for my gen3 19 that it definitely wouldn't work, but it works perfectly and hasn't had a single problem

I find the LCI useless, I removed them from my glocks and installed the non LCI extractor which I think looks a lot better. A good gun owner ALWAYS knows when there gun is loaded :) I don't need a little indicator, I have never used it
I agree. I don't need one and I know when my firearms are loaded or not. When in doubt rack the slide open and verify.

Until this thread, I didn't even know my Glock HAD a LCI! LOL!

Anyway, I always perform a chamber check when I handle any gun....even when I'm 100% sure. Just takes a minute and is infinitely important IMO.

Rule 1: All guns are ALWAYS LOADED!

Meh, pick up, press check, holster and move on. I'm not sure why anyone would want to take it out. It's never affected my shooting before.

It doesn't serve a purpose for me and some others.. I don't need a indicator to tell me if MY gun I loaded is hot or not. I know because I did it, I think the non LCI extractors look better also, but I only changed it on my glock 19 NiB-X cause it looks good, and I had polished the factory one and it looked bad with the goldish finish of the NiB-X

I'm with Web, press-check and carry on.

Looks never come into play for me when talking Glocks...they are simply not a good looking gun IMO. I like them clean, lubed, and loaded.

Looks only mattered for 1 of all my glocks lol, all the rest I still have the LCI, I just don't find myself ever using it.. Because the way I have them, all loaded in my safe, I keep them that way mostly, if for some reason they aren't loaded from cleaning or something, I know because the trigger is to the rear with no mag.. If that makes sense?

Long story short...If the trigger is forward with a mag in, it's loaded and ready to go. If the trigger is fully to the rear with no mag, it's completely empty.

That's just how I keep "organized?" lol

Loaded indicator

Hi: I see a lot of people asking the same question about the Glock Loaded Indicator and how it doesn't work and so on!!!!

FYI: I have the indicator and you are right in the fact that a seasoned user will notice it and not a beginner, however if you place a empty case in the chamber and slam the slide forward then turn your weapon sideways as if to see the indicator protruding out you will notice as you look at the indicator and the barrel where it meats the slide and the indicator you can clearly see the round in the chamber; there is about a 1/8" gap that allows you to see the
"Live Round" :)
