I found out the same thing. Live rounds must be a little wider in circumference than snap caps cause my lci works with live rounds. I never rely on the lci though. I honestly think its useless. I'm way more at ease checking manually if there is a live round in the chamber. I want a regular non lci extractor.
That's exactly what I did.. I think it looks a lot better

Very nice looking. I see you've got the chrome pins and slide stop. Al the do dah. Glad you got things worked out and got the gun running well.
Yeah, i took the chrome slide release off because I'm trading another member for his new extended chrome slide release. Mine is factory size. I am really happy it's working now, apparently all it needed was lube to get it "broken in and loosened up," wmdguns gunsmith's words.

It's amazing how lube makes things work perfectly. I convinced the Ms to keep some handy, and she seems better for it.

I have a Glock 21 Gen 4, in fact I just picked it up today. The chamber indicator works fine with a live round. My understanding of this feature is its meant to be a tactical indication if a live round is in the chamber by touch, moving your trigger finger up and across it to ensure the pistol is "hot". It's meant for touch not so much as a visual indicator.

Thanks, but that doesn't help me. I know those words and terms but I don't know where there are on the gun. :( A pic would be very beneficial for me.
Here is a picture, left is empty... Middle and right pictures it's loaded. Only sticks out a mm if that

I took the extractor out of the slide and did the same thing to it that I did to the lettering on my slide...painted the outer "indicator" white...just touched it with the brush. It's enough to give a visual on the chamber being loaded.

And unloaded.... you can definitely see a difference.
