To FS or Not To FS

As I previously posted, I decided on a Glock 34 Gen 5 MOS as my first Glock. Ordered it and then got a call from the dealer today asking "Do I want the regular or the FS model?" Apparently they carried an upcharge at one time, but at least now are both the same price.

So, which is it guys (and Glock ladies) with the Slab sided slide or with the FS slide with the serrations at the muzzle end, and of course, Why?

Thanks, Bob

I'm able to "press check" without front serrations. My wife isn't. It isn't something I do a lot of but am capable. Is it something you'll need? Only question that needs answered on your part.

Many have 'issues'... and, when the pistol is wet, so do I.

Years ago, my sister suffered hand injuries that continue to limit her hand strength and dexterity, but she can perform a press check by using her thumb to pull the rear sight rearward as illustrated in the picture below.

I use the same technique when the pistol is wet.

Hope this helps.
