I am new to GSSF and am having difficulties contacting them and wondered if anyone can help a newbie get registered for an event in Tucson? I have the "Registration & membership application" in front of me. I want to shoot my G26 in the "glock the plates" event among a few others. Where on the registration form do you indicate which course you want to shoot?

There is "amateur civilian", "amateur & master subcompact" & "amateur & master competition" on the reg form. Do I just pick one and hope it all works out? What would you suggest for my first time out?

Any help would be appreciated greatly.

Your registration is for all of the events. You choose which class you shoot based on your gun model, law enforcement/Military, etc. You will shoot all three events at a GSSF match. If you are a first timer you will be Amateur Civilian subcompact.

The people at the event are very helpful. You can register there, and at each stage there is a range officer who can walk you through how the course works.
Enjoy!
