As I have a stigmatism and my choice is the Holosun 407K with 6 minute dot in green and to me it is.

Stick with the holosun. I have 2 of their SCS's and a 507k-gr x2.

 

Agreed as I have a total of 4,1 of which resides on a carbine and is outstanding in that role.

 

I only have one pistol mounted optic & it’s the Holosun with the green dot or green eotech like reticle. I wanted to buy American made, but with my FUBAR eyes I could only pick up the dot on the holosun.

 

It looks like you still have the factory iron sights? Can you see them at through the holosun?

 

Have the 407k green on my 43X. Not liking the 6MOA. My duty gun is issued with a 3.25MOA dot and I guess I got used to it. My other optics are all 3.25MOA as well.

 

Did you change out your iron sights for taller ones?

 

Thanks for the great info. Did you file down the lugs yourself or have a smith do it?

 

Did it myself, used plenty of duct tape to protect the finish on the slide and mill file.
Chucked the slide in my vice with protected jaws, used steady even pressure and they quickly disappeared it wasn't difficult.

Stay away from Romeo at all cost ..!!

 

Have a 407K on a 43X, 407C on a Staccato P and a Glock 45, and a 407C ACSS on an XC. All are very accurate and only "problem" was batteries that needed replacement that is a snap with Holosun. All have been well worth it.
