I took the wife out shooting Friday. Her grouping are the center mass. She shot with my Glock 17 RTF2. My grouping are the head shots with my Glock 27 Gen 4. Both gun ran perfect. She wants her own 9mm now. Hmm maybe a G26? Or 19 :D

Great job. My wife started going with me and shooting, now she is hooked. I got here a Gen 3 G19. She shot other models and decided the 19 is what she liked the best. The good thing about getting the wives involved is they also get excited about adding more guns to the collection.

You have to watch out for us wives, ;-) Once we get the "bug" it's over.

I love my 19. It fits my hand better than the 26. If your range rents guns, have her try both and see which she likes better. Happy shooting! It's a great couples activity.

Once you get them in to it, they will get on the forums too. For proof this happens is GAgal is my wife. She has also joined a ladies shooting group at the gun club we are members of. They get together weekly and have a class room meeting, then time on the range.

Birddog-you are a honey!

IRock-I hope your wife enjoys shooting as much as I do. The nice thing about handguns is that it doesn't matter if you are a man or a woman, how big or tough you are. Everyone who loves to shoot is on an equal playing field. I know women who are better shots than men and men who are better shots than women. It's nice to find something where size and strength don't really matter.

My wife says, "The best date nights we've ever had"! She grouped much better than me her first time out! At first, I felt insulted by both her comment and marksmanship. Then I realized that I was the one to introduce her to shooting! I now consider it a compliment and really look forward to our weekends together whether we're on the shooting ranges or just cleaning our weapons! It's even become great family time! The kids join us when their home. I expect the grandkids will, too, as soon as their big enough to hold a weapon upright and take aim!

At what distance were you away from the target? Just curious.
