I have noticed that more of you tend to carry smaller Glocks, is it just a size issue or something else.

Yeah it is a size issue for most.
Mostly it's a size issue. If I could, I'd carry an Anaconda.

When it comes to concealed carry, key word is CONCEALED.

I'm not tall enough to be able to hide a full frame pistol on my person.

If I open carried, more, I'd be ok with a full size.

It is indeed surprising that more folks dont carry a G17..lots of folks have them! Dimensionally, the 17 is no larger than a Govt model Colt and we all know the 'big rock' fans carry them all the time.

I have a G34 that I will carry, but normally in colder weather when concealment is a little easier due to outerclothing. In warmer weather, I will carry either my 19, 26, or LC9 depending on the occasion.
The only Glock I own is a G17 Gen4 and I carry it everywhere. It's probably a little easier since I'm 6'1 and 200 lbs but I haven't noticed a problem concealing it. I love my G17 and will never get rid of it.

x2. I am a fairly skinny dude (34 in waist, 6' tall, 185 lbs). Carrying a 17 would be difficult to conceal. I have chosen a 19, but I started leaning towards a 26 with a grip extension. In the end they are about the same size/weight though.

My first go to gun would be my competition 34. It shoots great, but I can't keep it covered up.

What got me interested in Glock was the fact that I could carry a high capacity gun and still keep the size down. I feel more comfortable carrying my Beretta than anything just because of the de-cocker and the way the entire top of the slide is open (since I'm a lefty) but it's too big and heavy. That's the main reason I chose the G19, I was able to shed weight and size and still have the same 15 round capacity. I have a Colt Mustang .380 that I carried for a while but was never comfortable with the caliber or the 5 round capacity. If the choice for me was only the 17, I would have just kept carrying the Beretta. It wouldn't be enough for me to just shed weight and keep the size, I wanted to slim down both.
I'm 5'8" and 180lbs. It's much easier for me to conceal a G26 than a G17. Although, starting November 1st I won't have to worry about that since Oklahoma's Open Carry law goes into effect.
I carry a Gen3 G17 on a daily basis. I am a bigger guy though too. I just got a Gen4 G17, and as soon as I wring it out, I will carry it too.
I carry a G17, Gen2. I'm not petite, but not really tall either, but I carry IWB. WA state has an open carry, but I carry concealed, under my shirt. It's not visible, but it is obvious I'm packing heat.

I don't like the Gen 4s. The texture on the backstrap of the grip rubs my hand raw.

Size of the pistol is perfect for me though.
Well it's definitely the size issue for me. I'm only 5'7 145 lbs...I carry either my 23 or 19 and even those are sometimes hard to not print. The IWB helps conceal most of it, besides the grip.
Lately for the past few months my EDC has been a gen4 17 OWB in one of our holsters. With a normal tshirt I have no problems concealing it.
Yeah, my full time carry is usually my 17, in a OWB, if I'm going out for something special maybe my Wilson CQB. Mostly my. G17 though.
I've carried mine a few times, depends on the shirt as I'm an OWB type of guy. I've got big shoulders so that helps to hide. Have a new holster coming, like my Raven, so it might be easier to conceal. It's just easier to carry my G19 though.
It's about size...

In my case, the G17 is too large for my hand, so I carry, both open and concealed, the G19 with is a perfect fit for my hand. I'm kind of small, so concealed carry is still a problem even with the G19. Belt carry is a Glock combat holster that keeps it tucked in pretty well, or shoulder holster, under a jacket, when non-detection is a must. I also have the baby glock in 9mm in my sights.
I OWB carry a gen 4 glock 17. Our CCW is super easy to get here, I'm just too lazy to do it, and can't find a free day to get it done. I prefer to open carry anyways, I don't mind if anybody sees it. I open carry in a Blackhawk Serpa.

<< Actually just like in this pic.
I have a new one that I have had for 2-3 yrs and haven't even shot it, I even replaced the rsa from glock and it sits in the safe, I carry my G22, I never think about it. I alway end up taking other pistols to the range but the G17 looks so nice and clean in perfect condition

Yeah, open carry doesn't go into effect until Nov 1st in Oklahoma. I like the Blackhawk Serpa as well.
So far I have had no issue with the size. I am 5'10" and weigh about 175 and I have no problem concealing a G22. It's all about positioning IMO.
