The 2nd amendment protects all law abiding citizens in this republic, the right to keep (own) and bear (carry) arms.

We need to grow a pair and demand constitutional carry, rather concealed or open, all across this nation without border limits. That is what the 2nd amendment to our constitution states and it is the supreme law of the land. All states agreed to this by joining the union, so this does not fall under a 10th amendment "states rights" issue. The states do not have the right to deny or strip us of our constitutionally guaranteed rights under this republic.

Agreed. They've been trying to fight this for years.

All we have to do is become active and vote in people that will represent this in Washington DC and our state capitols. We ARE the people. WE make the laws by electing people that will represent us and what we think in the arena of law. It is our duty as citizens of this great country to know what is going on and participate. We participate by either entering a candidacy for a position to change the laws, or voting for someone that has done so.

I vote. Do all of you? If not, shame on you.

It doesn't matter if it's Republican or Democrat, they're different kinds of puppets all held from the same string. I vote conservative, but I know that nothing is going to change on the inside, just the aesthetics. We need to bring back minute men and hold our government accountable for it's actions. That's what the constitution is about. It's about upholding civil liberties, and letting no one, whether government or civilian, try and take them away.
  5. Because the government, by nature, prefers subjects over citizens...and we let it happen every time we vote for our favorite entitlement program, we force others to do our bidding. We've forgotten the premise of the Constitution, and instead twist and tear it for our own personal gain...and we have the government that is MORE than willing to do the same...More government employees make 6 digit salaries than ever before. the private sector is sinking, and the public sector is growing...and that suits our government JUST fine...and that, folks, is the how socialism starts....next stop: dismantle completely 2A.

The "vote the traitors out" and vote patriots in strategy will only work if we start at a grass roots level and work our way up over time just as the nation wreckers did when they started over 100 years ago. It shouldn't take us nearly as long though.

However, the problem with voting our way back is that we must not listen to the media when they demonize candidates who will restore our rights and republic. They pull out all the stops and label them as radicals, unelectable or racist and for the most part the public falls for it every time and backs the establishment whore being propped up by the bankers and media.

I have run into this type of problem in other areas, it seems interpretation and translation are considered the same thing. Working over seas we had trouble with translators adding their .02 to what was said. Seems Washington has a bad case of the same thing while reading English, they see one thing and think another.

I would love to see the majority of Incumbents voted out, the only problem is most of us with common sense are not interested in running for office...

Its an ongoing struggle, because some court systems, people, states, towns, cities, do not want to recognize the 2nd amendment, and our God given right to carry, or to have guns in general. There is liberal thinking, and there is LIBERAL thinking. People try to destroy or ignore the 2nd amendment, like it doesnt even exist. If all this does not turn around soon, then everything our forefathers worked for, died for, will be in the toilet, along with the other men and women who have fought and died to assure our freedoms. Whats so sad, is that some people in this country actually want America to be under socialism/communism. How sad is that, that some people in this country have sunk so low, and have been brain washed by all of it.
