100 rounds of 40 at lgs
Well, I did it again. Bought 3 (more) glock 33rd magazines. Thinking I need an intervention.
Naw you're fine,as there is no such thing as too many magazines or too much ammunition
I bought a Leupold VX3I for my light weight hunting rifle. Just waiting on rings now. My local LGS ordered them for me also.
Thought id pass this deal along. 20% off all slate black industries products using code BYE2020, love their hand stops and rail covers!
Scope specs please, what caliber are you putting it on?
4.5x14x40. It will be going on a Savage ultralte in 308 win. I purchased a warne mountain tech rail and rings also. This will be a gun I use for packing in the timber and clear cuts here in Idaho. It should come in around 7 pounds complete.
Well last night was about 3 hours in.
I know this gun will run and cycle well now.
Trigger job ain't happening tonight.
Tested about 10 times and it's got a 4lb trigger, should stay on target well.
Here is a pic!
Need an RMR and a magwell, soon to purchase these items.
Nice,very nice,Luv me some P 80's.
My first P80 build would not run, it was a G17.
That first build taught me a lot about the Glock platform.
Maybe I am different, I like the challenge when there are issues.
Some have brought their Glocks to me and they have actually damaged the weapon.
Get upset when I tell them they need parts.
I won't lie here, I'll most likely never veer from the Glock platform.
Guess I'll never be a gunsmith.
I learned much about the Glock platform as you say, with my first build and now I have 4 under my belt when and If Poly 80 releases a Gen 5 P 80 for the G 44 I'll add that to the line up, then all my Glock's will be P 80's
Interesting. I heard that Polymer 80 and other companies picked the Glock Gen3 design because all the patent protections expired. Gen5 being so new would prevent such a thing. Glock has a history of suing companies that infringe on their designs.
Then there’s Sig with their 320 and in some of the interviews with Sig reps, they make it sound like they are almost like open source. Wanting there to be lots of aftermarket parts for their platform.
I know it's going to be some time before it happen because as you say Glock will protect their pattens all the way thru the courts, vigorously but hey I can dream of the day.
Traded one of my girlfriend’s friends 200 rounds of my .223 for 350 rounds of Scorpio 9mm. I’ve never used it before but it’s brass cased made in Czech Republic.
Most of Czech stuff I have seen gets good reports. Haven't ever seen Czech ammo though. Hope it runs well for you.
I went to a local gun show. I have been to a show in 3+ years. Saw a ProMag AR47 mag. the guy tried to sell it to me. "Nope can't give me on of those turds!" I said, "Wanna buy some ASC 30rd stainless X39's still in the package?" "I'll ask." I told the guy $14 each. "you live local? Go get them." I brought him 12 of them. Then he made me a "deal" on 2 Tiger Rock bad levers for $12 a piece! I didn't know he had them. I wouldn't have looked at them with their $29.99 price tag. (his Magpul's were $39.99 ) I got them as I have been on the notify list at AR15discounts for 2 months.
On with shopping got a box of local made .357JHP's in new Starline brass. 25 for $30.
Was talking to a local ammo seller about a holster for my G48. He had some at the store. Told him a regretted buying that and not waiting for a 43X. "It's never been fired." He said "Hey I'll trade you straight up for my 43X that has had 10rds through it for a function check!" I went back this morning and did the trade! He didn't lie, only one mag had powder residue in it. Evidently his bifocal line interfered with seeing the front sight on the short barrel.
Ten used PD trade G22 mags arrived today (UPS). Waiting for 5 more G17 Pmags. Mags are the only reasonably priced gun related items left.
G22 mags are fairly versatile as they can use 357 sig and (in a pinch) 9mm. Good for SHTF.
Been looking for 145 gr. 350 Legend & found some online for $15 @ box. I went to my local Walmart & they had it for under $10 @ box + the 150 gr for $20. That'll teach me!
Also decided to pick up another .22, this time a NIB Browning Buck Mark in Kryptex Neptune
camo. $415, free shipping, & no CC fees. But at that price I paid that anyway.
