Ballistol and Birchwood Casey Gun Scrubber. Amazon has the gun scrubber, 3x10 oz for $40, 2x10oz for $22, or 1x10oz, $5.47:rolleyes:....so I order 3 single cans.
Got more targets as well, shoot 'n see...I do surveys (Amerispeak) and they paid for everything.

Didnt buy anything today but did sell a buddy a brand new in box marlin model 60 i had bought about 8 years ago. I didnt make any money or lose any money and he got a good deal, plus free’d up more room in my safe for something else lol.

what a great gun those are. I shoot mine pretty regularly, cheap session ender, and it always has me smiling, "tinking" steel at 200.

oh yeah, i have a early 70’s marlin glenfield model 60, bluing was near perfect, refinished the stock, swapped out the charging handle with a wood handle, found a really clean glenfield scope and put it on. have yet to shoot it though lol That was my first rifle i bought about 10 years ago and ive had the gun bug ever since.

First real gun I had was also a Marlin 22 rifle, but a bolt action model 25 with the old style magazine. Got it for christmas in probably 1972 or 73. I remember my dad being annoyed that it didn't have the oversize end on the bolt so you could manually decock it like some guns have, but that gun got a TON of use. Had one seven-shot magazine & a hundred-round pack of ammo with it, which seemed like a ton at the time but got used up by my brothers & me on day one iirc. Liked it so much that the second 22 rifle I owned was another marlin, a 39A lever action that I bought myself. Hadn't thought about either one of those in a long time, thanks for the memory lane trip.

Fwiw, REALLY wish I still had the 39A, that thing was laser-beam accurate.

    So I have a plan!
Took $80 plus worth of pennies to a coin machine last weekend.
Rolled $90 of clad coinage this eve.
Going to order a G21 barrel and RSA before the weekend.

Need to go through all car and truck consoles for coins, not to mention old coffee mugs in the shop filled with coins.

It's not that I can't afford whatever I wish to buy.
But my God I need to get rid of the Tupperware containers & mugs filled with change.

I’ve been looking at the Alien Gear backpack holster. I like the idea for hiking, outdoors.

Go for it! My advice would be a 9mm AR that takes Glock magazines.
In a 9mm AR you can go with as short as a 7 - 8 inches barrel, making it really compact for a truck or home defense gun.

Definitely, unless worried about potential bans, taxes or ATF nonsense down the road. There's always the threat of those things, but I still like them. I have a 5" 9mm and 8" .300BK, and love both of them. The 9mm gets a lot more use of the two, but the .300 would be completely in my comfort zone for defensive purposes.

I'm honestly thinking my .300 may come to stay at work with me for a while depending on the intensity of election stupidity. The lack of a top-end defensive longarm at work was brought to my attention last week when we had three booms strong enough to shake every building in the area and heard for more than 20 miles around. Turned out to be nothing more than air force goobs from Jacksonville playing with the sound barrier, but it made me realize that with all the relocating of guns to home that I've done this year, the best long gun I still have at work was an M1 carbine. Plenty capable gun imo, but I may bring an AR back just to have one here.
