I usually shoot from 25, 15 and about 10, but mainly 25. I recently shot from 50 yards, and was not pleased by my performance.

7-25 yards, sometimes 50 yards, Did some at 75 yards out in the desert, hitting a 2 foot target. Mostly 7-25 yards though.

Mostly 7-15 yds. If your shooting at someone past that distance your probably getting arrested. They say almost all self defense shots are inside 15 feet from what i have read.

I go to 5 different ranges and none will let you shoot any closer than 5 yds.

Not many ranges in the U.P. of Michigan that care one way or the other... Of course someone else might actually have to be at the range when I'm there...

Besides your bullets freeze before 20 yards. Dont they??

10 - 25 ft....haven't ventured much further than 25.

With the pistols I have now, 25 yards & closer. In the mid 1980's I used to shoot steel silhouette matches with a S&W Model 29-3, 10 5/8 barrel, adjustable rear sight for windage, & a 4 position adjustable front sight for pre set elevations. 50,100,150, & 200 yards. Hunting pistols. I wish I'd kept that gun, great shooter. Here's a pic of one like it. You rotated the wheel on the front sight for 50 yd increases, or reductions.

For work qualifications are at 7, 15 and 25 yards with a handgun, for a carbine its 5, 25, 50, and 100 yards.

On my own I shoot anything from point blank out to 50 yards with a handgun, and with a rifle I shoot as far out as I can at the given location.

I gotta try that lon distance rifle shooting. Scoped or steel sights?
