I just found an email asking me to drop by as I have not been here in awhile. There is a reason for that...two emergency life saving surgeries. I was in the hospital for nearly a month and in the ICU for half that time.
One of the weirdest parts was after I was finally moved from the ICU to a regular floor. I kept meeting people who took care of me in the ICU, which would not have been so bad except they all had basically the same thing to say...''WOW, I can't believe how good you look. You were so sick everyone thought you were going to die. Even the doctors had given up on you!" Talk about being slapped in the face with your own mortality!

Anyway, I survived and will be dropping in from time to time as I can. Hopefully I can avoid any more hospital stays for awhile. I do hope everyone here has enjoyed better health than I have had. God bless you all and remember to keep your powder dry and your gun to hand. Our nation faces troublesome times and we have been cursed to live in them.

I have been in a similar situation four years ago... Be strong and drive on! Yes, times are troublesome... but it is a blessing to have life and though the times may be cursed, we are blessed to live to 'fight' for freedom & liberty... Where there is breath, there is hope.

I think I can identify....a couple of years ago, things started just like a normal December day, went to work and all that, and 15 days later went home from the hospital following an ambulance ride, a visit to the ER, a triple bypass, 4 days in Cardiac ICU, and 6 days convalescence....it was a crummy way to start a new year.

Hope you get better.

Thank you everyone for the kind thoughts and the prayers! I'm a firm believer in the power of prayer, I think it was one of the things that helped me pull through. I'm healing, slowly but surely, and I have to remember that I'm tethered (to a wound pump) 24/7. Occasionally I forget, but the resounding {{{THUMP}}} as it hits the floor reminds me every time...LOL.
Anyway, I will be dropping by as I can. You never know, someone might even be able to help me find replacement clips for my Stallard Arms .9MM or my Star PD Model .45. Everyone take care and have a blessed day!
