I'm planning on buying a Glock 30SF next week and I'm confused on which sights to get. I'll save you from particulars, but I have the option of having TFO's or spending $30 more to get XS regular or Big dot sights. Any insights or recommendation on these sights? Thanks in advance!

I have both. Haven't got to shoot with my big dots yet but from the looks of it they will be my ccw gun sights. Love the TFO's and will keep them on my range gun. What's your main use?
Should be home defense/CCW but there will be a good bit of range time also.

Personally, I hated the XS sights I put on my 27. Absolutely hated them. All of my guns have 3 dot sights and they'll stay that way. My brain has been trained for a long, long time now on 3 dot sights and I can acquire those every bit as fast as I could the XS sights, plus I was more accurate with them.

A lot of people love them. Those that don't hate them. There doesn't seem to be anything in between.

I agree 100% with jonm61. 3 Dots rule.

You know that meprolight sights where the sights that Glock used to put on when ordered with night sights. http://www.meprolight.com/

I have 3 dot meps(Tru-Dot) on my G-23 and 3 dot Trijicons on my G-27 and I like both. The mep dots are bigger and a little easier to see in lighted conditions. I haven't used them in no or low light conditions yet.

I personally have a set of TFO's on my daily carry. I love the 3 dots. But the front sight did wobble a bit if i went to the range and shot a few hundred rounds through the gun. I tried taking the front sight off last night and put a little more thread locker on the 3/16" bolt that holds the sight in place. Well as I was unscrewing the bolt, the whole thing busted off inside my sight. So it's off to the gun shop to find a new front sight. But other than that I truly enjoy the sights. I just have to be careful when I tighten the sight bolt.

Really, they still do. The Glock night sights are made by Meprolight, just branded Glock.

I have the XS big dots on a SR9c. For quick acquisition they are nice. Accuracy is not their strong suit. I can group decently with them but that massive front dot covers most of the target. I'm planning on a set of truglos for a G35 slide.
