When you squeeze the trigger on your glock what do you feel? Besides recoil lol. The reason I started this thread is because there's alot of controversy over finger placement on the trigger when shooting. I personally like the pad of my index finger but have a tendency to pull the trigger instead of squeeze my shot. Been doing this for years now. One day ill go to the range and im dead on in the orange and other days i'm all over the place. Why is it when I shoot my 1911 im dead on every time. If your fundamentals and mechanics are the same, the result should be the same regardless of a striker fired pistol or a single action trigger of a 1911. Please weigh in what do you think? Or what are your opinions?
You know, this is an interesting question. The first time I ever shot anything in 45ACP and also a 1911 was yesterday night. A friend lent me his Springfield Armory and I emptied an entire magazine on the paper. Every single shot went exactly where I aimed the sights at, and a few shots went through and through the same holes. I really didn't have to aim very carefully. I'd say I took about 1 shot every 1 second. That was pretty impressive for someone who has never held a 1911, or fired anything over 9MM in pistols before. Up until that point I never really cared much about 1911s or 45, but that was very impressive.

I'm also a new & proud owner of a Gen4 G34 as of last week, and for me to get the accuracy of the 1911 I mentioned above is usually 3-4 seconds of careful aiming and extremely gentle trigger pulling. Even then, my impact veers a bit to the left and I'm 100% sure I'm not flinching or limp wristing anything...

Don't get me wrong, I'm in love with my G34, but this 1911 made me think last night...
