Y'all need to go frog lube
No, but I think a good test for you would be next time you shoot, clean with clp as you normally do. Then next day sop the bore with hoppes and let it sit 15 min. I think you will find there is a ton of black crap that will come out. I did this and now use clp for quicky cleaning, but hoppes if I'm serious about a deep cleanHave been using a CLP (FP10) since it was deemed the " preferred" product for cleaning the issued weapon. Before that I used Breakfree on everything (also a CLP). I guess what I'm saying is, I have never used one product to clean, and one to lubricate and protect....do I need to rethink my post-range protocol?
Me too! I've started using it on my 1911, AR-15 and my Polymer pistols as well. It takes all the grime off, penetrates, and lubricates all of my firearms perfectly! Not to mention, Hicock45 swears by the stuff.I'm using Ballistol now. It's good stuff
Kroil oilWhat would be a good product to use on the exterior of the slide. Looking for something that gives a deeper looking color and shine.
Ballistol has a terrible smell to it for me. I have it but it just stinks to much.Another Ballistol use. Have tried others but always seem to go back to it. Have used for a number of years.
