P226 is one of the best man. It feels real good while shooting and is top notch reliability. A bit big and heavy but way worth it
Cool. I've heard a lot of good things. It being big and heavy doesn't bother me, sometimes I carry a Beretta 92FS at work. Believe it or not I use my .357 Desert Eagle as a carry piece :-DiRockGlock said:P226 is one of the best man. It feels real good while shooting and is top notch reliability. Yes. I only like bigger guns. Never felt right with a smaller one. I'm a big guy, so the smaller guns don't feel right in my hands. I checked out a coworkers 229 and while I thought it was nice I faced my usual problem of it feeling too small for me. Like I said, I'm a guy who uses a Desert Eagle as a carry piece without being uncomfortable... Hahajimmyalbrecht said:Are you stuck on the 226? I personally like the 229. Plus the 229 has a proven record with many federal agencies. That's just my 2 cents!
Gotcha man, just throwing it out there! Either way, a 226 is a nice firearm.Yes. I only like bigger guns. Never felt right with a smaller one. Love my 226.... Best 300 bucks I ever spent.... Good friend sold it to me.SamEngel1984 said:I've been seriously considering buying a SIG P226 for use as a service pistol. For those of you who live in the state of FL and have now or at one time worked as a security officer you'll know they only allow you to carry a 9mm or .380 semi auto or a .38 revolver while on duty. That being said I'd have to get it in 9mm. I was wondering if anyone here owns one and what they think of it ?
QFTWould love to own a 226, unfortunately there's no deals on them around here. Used ones aren't much cheaper than new. Sig's a fine piece, but $200-$400+ better than the equivalent Glock or M&P? Not IMHO.
Fair enough... But personally I've never been impressed with the M&P. I've always kinda seen them as a wannabe Glock, but hey thats me. ;-) I actually just bought the P226 a few weeks ago.Donn said:Sig's a fine piece, but $200-$400+ better than the equivalent Glock or M&P? Not IMHO.
I like the way the new factory grips look.... Tried to get that same textured look on my old gripsSamEngel1984 said:Fair enough... But personally I've never been impressed with the M&P. New... It came with night sights too.SHOOTER13 said:New or used !?
Me too... I really like the new grips... Someone I knew who works for Miami-Dade PD has an older model... That's what got me interested in the P226 to begin with.66Goat389 said:I like the way the new factory grips look.... Tried to get that same textured look on my old grips
