I purchased my first Gen4 back in May, a model 27. After taking it to the range for the first time, I noticed that the end of the barrel was damaged. It appeared to have chips of the metal being blown off by the bullet exiting the barrel.
I also own an old Gen2 model 23, and noticed that the end of that barrel had a slightly tapered inner edge machined into it. Apparently my Gen4 did not come with this tapered edge...
Has anyone else out there experienced this issue?
I sent the Gen4 barrel into Glock for inspection and repair, and less than two weeks later I got it back good as new.
As you can see, they machined the inner edge as requested, and gave it an inspection with a clean bill of health... Gotta love Glock customer service!
