Standardizing on Glock 9mm

I am wanting to standardize on Glock 9mm for my carry and home defense purposes, mainly for the mag compatibility. I have the 19X for home and sometimes carry, but want something just a bit smaller for EDC. I believe my choices are the Glock 26 and the Glock 19. I can get the MOS version for the 19. I can also get the slide milled for a red dot for the 26, at extra expense.

What opinions do you guys have on my idea? Which gun is more shootable? Accurate? Easier to EDC? Better all around gun?

Thanks,
Joe

I really like my G45. It gives me the grip of the 17 and slide of the 19 and for me shoots quite well!!

I got a Glock 48 for EDC. It’s easier to conceal in my opinion.

I like the G 26 with a Glock 12 round mag best for 9 mm concealed carry. With the 12 round Glock magazines the grip is then long enough to get a good handle on it. In my opinion, if you are carrying all day every day,(while at home, or away) the G 26 will just conceal better and weigh less than the G 19.

Then add the original 10 round flush magazine in a back pocket next to the wallet, and I believe 23 rounds is adequate.

YMMV.

IMO, the best Glock….is the 1 you’ll carry every day….or almost every day
…….as a police officer I carried a Glock 22 on duty n a 23 off duty……(cause i was expected to take action if I came across a crime)
Upon retirement I switched ro a Glock 43 n carry it regularly
When i go on my early morning jogs, (gotta stay in shape to enjoy my retirement) I carry a pocket pistol Smith & Wesson bodyguard .380…..which was a retirement gift from my crew……
I would like ro replace it with a Glock 42
……cause Glock life

Spot on.

During my LEO career I carried 1911s, BHP or Beretta 92FS. On and off duty. So in retirement, a Glock 19 Gen 3 is my EDC.

Completely agree, the best gun is the one you carry. In my case it’s a Glock, nuff said.
