Can anyone tell me the difference between the Speer Gold Dot personal protection and the Speer Gold Dot law enforcement shells. In 45acp if that makes a difference.

I honestly don't know. I do believe you are correct that the leo box contains 50 instead of 20.

Of that I am certain. My confusion was over why Speer would produce two different charts. The only common variation I am aware of is the Gold Dot HP and the Short Barreled GDHP.

I am a private investigator and I want the best in my daily carry gun. So that was the reason for the question in the difference of the too. I am currently carrying 185 grain Corbon dpx. But I am wanting to get a couple boxes of the gold dot 230 grain.

I bought some of the Gold Dot 230 grain from Streicher's police online. Very accurate ammo and expands reliably. You might also like to know for a box of 50 it was only 32.00 plus 8 for shipping. I believe the same thing in 9mm was like 27 plus shipping.
