Does anyone know about norinco sks gas system? My piston does not slide freely. It has to be pushed in & pushed out. I noticed when I cleaned it after I purchased it. Have not fired it yet.

  2. Clean it really well with brake cleaner to get the cosmoline off, then lube it with CLP. Should take care of it.

Did you buy it brand new, never been fired?

If yes, you gotta get all the packing grease out of it. Believe it or not, boiling water works great!

If you got it used, look for carbon fouling on the piston, the gas tube, as well as all contact points in the gas system.....if it has the grenade launcher, check the gas operation selector near the base of the grenade launcher.

If it is brand new, cosmoline-free and carbon-free, then chalk it may be a defect.

Hope you get it sorted out, and let us know how it turns out!

    Cheers!

So I cleaned gas tube extremely. Still doesn't slide freely. Took it to range to see if it cycles. Well, to sum it up in 1 word, FLAWLESS! Had a blast
