Shadow Systems DR 920P - Good or Bad

I purchased a new DR 920P and will pick it up next Monday. I have a ton of Glocks, but this will be my first Shadow Systems; it’s the only SS model that interested me as I don't care for small framed pistols.

The trigger, while at the LGS, felt better than a factory Glock, but so does a Flintlock's trigger. I ordered a Johnny Glock Trigger for it. I mainly run Timney Alpha Comp or Pyramid triggers, so I'll be interested in giving the Johnny Glock a try.

I've heard that Shadow Systems take a few hundred rounds to break-in. Have other SS owners found this to be true. I'm a reloader so I'll make a nice selection of 115gr, 124gr and 147gr to exercise the slide, frame and barrel. I'll probably make the greatest spread in the 124gr from mild to NATO equivalent to throw some gas into that comp.

For the cost of the pistol $1,100 and the trigger, I'm anxious to see if it's any better than the Glocks I've built for about the same or less cost.

Anyone else shoot a DR 920P? What are your thoughts on it?

I don't have a DR920P, but I do have an MR918 and a CR920P and both have been flawless. I know that many say they are perfect after a break in period, especially with the CR920P, but both of mine gave me zero issues from round one. My CR920P is the War Poet Society model, so it already came with a pretty nice trigger. My MR918 had a decent trigger, but I switched it out to a Tactical Pontoons, which is my preferred tigger. I have never tried Johnny Glock, Pyramid or Timney, but have had Tactical Pontoons, ZEV, and Apex.
