Hey guys.. Ex Army, retired from Security as a field investigator at 32 years old. I am new to glocks, but I have been getting my hands on every single one I can, and shooting it! I haven't made my first purchase yet (hopefully in November for my Birthday!) so I am trying to learn all that I can before I get it.. I am so far beyond excited about it. I currently have a 1962 Charter Arms .38 special detectives snubby, and a Taurus 22 lr revolver (for the wife and kid) so the Glock will be my first Pistol!! Looking at the glock 19 for now.. I like that I can throw down tons of lead and not go broke doing so.. Anyway, that's me! Look forward to talking to everyone!:)

Welcome to the forum! You can't go wrong with the Glock 19. You liked revolvers I assume for their ease of use and reliability? A Glock will be just as reliable and have more rounds plus magazines, so more shooting!

Thanks guys! @Jimmyalbrecht: Exactly.. I've always had my .38 as my EDC because I could tuck it easily (even though I open carry a lot here in Missouri) and I know if the time comes and I need to squeeze a couple off, it won't let me down. I got into glocks for that same reason, reliability. After shooting a few, I have developed a love for the entire feel of the gun. Though of course my father in-law has the .357, and said "if you like that .38, you'll love this .357!" Yea.. I shot it expecting it to punch a little like my .38... ha! It kicked so hard I didn't realize that it had even kicked, but even with that heavy recoil, it was easy to resight, and that's what really matters.. Glocks are the only pistols I've been able to quickly resight after firing.. I love it!!
