Being a cheapskate I recycle my Target I used for my S&W 686 Plus. That is why it has .357 holes and .45 caliber holes.

My last 12 shots with the 45 Colt was at 25 yards. The three 9s and the other nine was 10s.

Yesterday at the Indoor Range was the first time I saw revolver shooters in over a year. A father and son was shooting a new Colt Python as well as a few pistols. They had WWB 38 Special and when they empty the cylinder they would throw the brass down range. I did manage to pickup six pieces.

That’s so awesome. My Wife I go on shooting dates at least once every couple months. We try to go every month. We have done revolvers only a few times over the years. I love revolvers! She will only carry a revolver. Sometimes I find my p365 missing. She usually concealed carries the Ruger LCR, or Sp101. Occasionally she’ll carry the S&W m66 4” stainless in colder months.

My wife prefers the Colt Gold Cup and a Colt Commander, both in 45 ACP. But she likes the Glock 19 and Glock 17. For her a revolver is a “no go”.

Last month the local PD had a Women and Firearms Day. She went by herself and shot the Glock 17 and was Top Gun of the 15 women who participated.

I’m not really sure what my Wife’s deal is with revolvers. She came like that when we got together in our mid 20’s. She had her own firearms, all revolvers. I should have her shoot the Gold Cup! It’s one of my favorite pistols to shoot. It’s so accurate! I can punch holes in paper with mine as accurately with one or both hands on the pistol. Your wife is awesome! Mine would never carry a 19, or 17. My wife shot down the G26 years back as well.

My ex shot and loved my S&W 625 4” .45ACP. She shot it damn good too.
She wanted my 625 and P320 full-size when she moved out. Nice try but no.

Nice shooting, Che!

Hard to beat a 686. I've had mine since 1994. These days I do prefer a GP100, but that's just personal choice. Both are great. Snuby range days are fun too, and very practical for those of us who like to go light on occasion. On such days I really like a LCR. I also like a LCR for around the house.

Statistically, 5 rds. is enough MOST of the time, but sometimes it isn't. That's why we have semi autos.

My significant other and I also like shooting revolvers. After we started going together 28 years ago we would rent a a Smith 617 4” 6 shot which she eventually purchased. It was pretty rough from the rental fleet and she eventually upgraded to the 617 4” 10 shot pictured in the center.

She then claimed my Smith Model 10 in 38 spcl as her own, top left, and about 17 years ago and she used my 627 V-Comp, bottom left, for her CCW test. We only shot at 7 yards but she put 50 shots in a 4” circle off hand. Not going to make her mad.

Two of my favorite revolvers are the 627 V-Comp top right and the 929 bottom right I use for Steel Challenge OSR and ISR.

I’ve got a dozen Smith revolvers and 5 others. Plus plenty of Glocks.
