I have a Walther p22 that I love dearly but I hear the sr22 is as good & and ever better in some aspects. I don't think you can go wrong with the sr22 (or the p22 for that matter)
I love mine. Only a couple hundred rounds, but no problems, eats federal bulk ammo fine. Breaks down and reassembles easy. Sold a MKIII to get it. No regrets.
I sold my GSG MP5 (first gen) and bought the Ruger SR22. GSG was fairly cheap in many areas I thought, it worked good, but upon first takedown and cleaning, various screws were already very loose. Wasn't impressed. Others seem to like them though.
My SR22 has been great out of the box. First Gen if that makes any difference?
I like knowing the SR22 is 10/22 parts and I can just pick them up about anywhere and magazines work between it and my other 10/22.
