If you use solid lead bullets, it can if not properly cleaned with something that will dissolve the lead buildup, called fowling the barrel. Other than that, the only thing you might run into with reloaded ammo is maybe hot loads, loads that have too much powder, which will reduce the life of your recoil spring and added wear to the frame.

All of the "remanufactured" ammo that I've used or even looked at uses jacket bullets, so you shouldn't have a problem there. If you do see some with lead bullets, either avoid it or be prepared to clean the barrel thoroughly. Personally, I'd just avoid it.

I've tried reloads a couple of times, but didn't have very good luck with them. Personally, I just stick with quality factory ammo.

I Always shoot new ammo, but the price of it is killing me. I was wondering if anybody has had any problems with remanufactured ammo?
Try: http://www.surplusammo.com/

I shoot a lot of 9mm and they have once fired BVAC 115 grain for $172 + shipping for a case of 1000. I live in Seattle, and drive down to their shop and they honor their online price in person.

I ran 1000 rounds shared through a Glock 26, XDM 9mm, and M&P w/o a FTF or FTE. Its great for practice and is the second cheapest option. The first of course is reloading yourself.
