So I was messing around on Glocks website and there was a page with a 1800 number on it for you to call saying that the recoil spring on all Glock Gen fours except two sub compact modles were being swapped at no cost and you just mail back the old spring does anyone what upgrades they did if they have done this? Honestly it sounds like a recall. Last time this happened it was because the spring was two strong to cycle the weapon on some 9mm modles. Thanks.

Just call them and provide the serial number of your Glock in question.

If they determine you qualify for a new Recoil Spring Assembly (RSA) they will ship you one. On receipt, you need to ship the old one back to them.

Call it what you want, it is "taking care of the customer."

I called them for my G17 Gen4. They were able to send me a new RSA less that two weeks later.

Well I agree but I was more curious if it was a safety issue at all and I found out it wasn't a safety issue at all. Glock did do a good job with that.
