recoil buffer...

Do they really protect the life of your glock.....are they worth it?

They are cheap enough, but un neccessary, and I don't see any reason to throw something into the mix that may lead to reliability issues.

So to answer the questions...
I don't know, but Glocks last plenty long without them and IMO no. ;)
There have been complaints of them splitting. Read some of the customer comments on the buffer parts site on Glockstore.com

I saw this as well. So I ordered one from Wilson combat for my 23 and have put 4k rounds through it with no problems. Takes a lil sting out of recoil too cuz the slide never contacts the frame
I bought one cause I had the stainless rid and spring I thing it helps for its not metal in metal but mine did start two split after about 500 rounds but for 10 bucks I'd take that chance and not mess up my glock better to mess up a cheap replacement part then a cracked slide only my two cents
