I was thinking about really personalizing my glock with a customized rear slide cover plate that was engraved. Wanted to get some advice from people who have done this... Does having an image/engraving on the plate distract your eye from the sights (especially in a fast target acquisition scenario)?

i have an American flag on mine I don't find it distracting at all

 

I have my last name on mine, it never bothers me, hell I don't even notice it when I'm shooting.

 

most places have them for 20$. now you got me thinkin about gettin one

Just check to make sure the cover fits and has the groves on the inside. Cheap one do not and can be a mess. Usually any of them from the Glock type stores are correct.

 

Very easy to change out. All you need is a small screwdriver, or even just a ballpoint pen.

For the Glock to function it has to be on the slide.

Man, I can't get over the feeling that this wouldn't be a great idea if u ever wound up in a court of law for a self defense trial. For each his own. Just wonder if u have ever thought about it? I keep everything stock. For functionality and potential prosecutors.
