I live in Arizona and it is starting to get really hot already.. so my question is if it's dangerous to leave my gun in the car with excessive heat?

Unless it's in direct sunlight for a long period of time you should be fine. And even if it were, your ammo would be alright. The only thing I could think that would do anything would be the lube might dry a bit.

Cool thanks man! I have a console vault with a combo lock that I keep it in but nice to know it will be safe no matter what

Only problem I've ever had from excessive heat, and I really can't say 100% that it was from heat, was on a Gen2 G23. I don't remember if it had spent any alone time in the car, which is why I can't say for sure it was from the heat, but when I got home and took it off, the rear sight was hanging halfway off to the right. I pushed it back in place and it never moved again. It was very strange.
