So I'm watching the morning news and I see there's been another shooting.
This time six people are dead one of them the gunman, I don't know how many are injured.
The suspect is ex-Army recently discharged.
The weapon he used was....is everybody sitting down?
A 9 mm semi automatic handgun
Would anybody like to take a bet that this turns out to be a Glock?
I just recently bought my first firearm.
I'm really glad I did because pretty soon I think it's going to be illegal to own a handgun for self protection.
At that point , as you all know, "when guns are outlawed only outlaws will have a guns".

Should have heard Bo Dietl on the Imus radio/TV show this morning. He's a famous former NYPD detective, who up till this morning, advocated smaller magazines, no "assault" weapons, etc.

After yesterday, he flipped the script. He was wired up today on Imus and imploring all legal citizens to join the NRA, buy a gun and learn how to use it. He also retracted his previous stand against any guns or mags.

Sounded like because these people got blown away in a house of worship, it just snapped his twig.

Maybe he had an epiphany?

Yup, that's why I'm an NRA Member. They aren't perfect but they are on the front lines keeping our Second Amendment rights from being trampled on. Someday I hope to be able to become a life member of the NRA. If you believe in the Second Amendment, you should be a member.

On the Bob Brinker radio show this Sunday. Mr. Brinker had a LAPD officer call in. He asked the officer, in light of all these shootings what did the officer think should be done with assault rifles. He was disappointed by the answer. The officer said he swore to uphold the Constitution, that being said, that is the price of freedom.

i never worry when somebody says 'the man' is going to take our guns away. they are not going to do it! if anything, you can blame the decreasing quality of firearms and ammo to everybody getting all worried and buying everything around them that goes boom. companies cant keep up with the 'worried citizens' demand. hence, they MIM parts to make them quicker. you get weaker and weaker ammo because more of it makes it past QC due to the amount they must produce. just a thought.

There were an incredible amount of junk guns being made in the 60's on. RG revolvers among others.

They are most definately not perfect but as you posted they are the 2As most effective advocate.

Someday I hope to be able to become a life member of the NRA.

Wait for the annual life membership drive. Current life members can sponser you for the life membership at $300 vs the regular ~$1000. I got referred for my life membership this way by somebody on my local gun forum.

If you believe in the Second Amendment, you should be a member.

Truth. Every additional member is important. What gun owners can't pull together $25 for a yearly membership?

Anyone who regularly exchanges the term "assault rifle" for semi-automatic rifle should be dismissed as an ignorant, liberal gun grabber.
