Picked up another G33 today as I liked my first one so much :D

However this time there seems to be an issue  When racking slide (no mag or ammo) it will not go all the way into battery (see pic 1 below). I can get it to lock up but really have to slingshot it hard and even then it seems to hit and miss. If I ride the slide forward it feels like there is a hump or something it has to get passed (I know there is no hump just trying to describe the feeling ;) )

I am kind of thinking it may be a issue with the RSA ? Thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Also (see pic 2) there is some odd (or seem odd to me) marks on the inside of the slide. Keep in mind this gun has not been fired (other than factory).

Thanks in advance.

Cleaned and oiled, and no change. Only thing that I can think of is that goofy looking RSA :D. This is the first Glock I have purchased with that newer style RSA.

@G33IWB...I have had essentially the same issue with my new G26 Gen4. I have not shot mine, so I am not at all worried yet. Just a bit perplexed given I never had this happen on my G23 Gen 3.

I plan to shoot mine in a couple of days. Let us know what happens after you shoot yours.

Edit: the funny thing is, at the gun store where I bought mine, a second G26 I looked at did the same thing. I think mine will be fine. Don't fret too much until after you shoot it.

Yeah not too worried, I did however call Glock this morning and the CS rep. stated it should go away after break in "however just to be safe I will send you a new RSA".

Like you I am just a little perplexed as this currently my 4th Glock in my collection and probably the 15th Glock I have purchased new and none of the others had this or any issue that "should go away after break in".

Just out of curiosity, does your G26 have the 0 8 1 RSA?

I called Glock just prior to reading your reply...lol

As soon as I told the rep what was happening, he told me he would send a new RSA.

He said I was good to shoot it until then.

I will have to check the RSA number.

I am interested to see if they send another 0 8 1. The guy I spoke with didn't sound to surprised by what I was telling him, maybe he had just got off the phone with you ;) lol.

I asked if they had issued with the RSAs and he stopped way short of saying there was, but I wasn't going to press the issue. Especially since he was already sending me a new one.

Just got home from a long weekend away and found my new RSA waiting for me on the front porch. I popped it in my G26 and racked the slide several times, by slingshot and walking it in. She seems to work just fine and has yet to fail going into battery.
