Ok I know this is gonna be a wide open conversation with large parameters but I currently own a Glock 27, now what to get next? I want something larger in size but can't decide to stay with .40 or not? Any help is appreciated

Another vote for the 23. And if you decide you want a 9mm or 357 sig later you could just change the barrel.

The .40s are great. We have a G22 and a G27. Both are great shooters. The G23 is also on the list. I'll just move your thread to the What Glock Should I Get subforum.

I would also say G23. I love the size of it compared to my G22. I have a G23C. If you consider a "c" model, don't let anyone scare you with " night blindness" or hot flames and gasses In your face. It really does make a difference in felt recoil.

I have a 23, if it weren't for my 21, it would be my favorite! For a.40 and right size, nothing better!

The 23 is what I was leaning torward, just hear word about 10mm and 45acp bigger the better on bullet size but I personally feel .40 s&w will be fine.

I, too, have a 23C, and previously owned a 19C. Personally, I'm limited to a few, usually 1 or 2, handguns. I like the commonality of caliber and the ability to take advantage of bulk ammo purchase in one caliber, not 2 or 3.

Get what you want, but keep these things in mind. All the guns in the world do us no good if we are not practitioners of our craft. I find that I'd rather shoot a single platform more rather than multiple platforms/calibers less.

I agree with this. That's why I have a G22 and a G23. I have tried to "consolidate" my defensive battery. I sold my Taurus in.40 S&W and bought the 23 so that my two primaries were both Glock. I can also use the 22 mags in the 23 if I want. Although not the other way around. I may sell the 22 to get another 23.
I do this with my rifles also. I have two AKs and a good amount of magazines. I also have an L1a1 in 7.62 NATO/.308. My next project is a long distance bolt gun in .308.
Part of me wishes I was in 9mm instead of .40 just because of the ammo price.
