thanks for the welcome every one:)

I carry a rifle/shotgun everyday. as part of the job I am responsible for culling the vermin (fox/rabbit/rat/etc) and the cull of deer on the estate, thankfully I am also allowed handguns:D

What brands and calibers are the rifle/shotgun...?

What game are you protecting...deer ? I would think rabbit and fox

would be something worth hunting...for sport...not killing as vermin.

Where exactly is this game preserve in the UK...?

    (I would love that job!!)

As a keeper I rear and release pheasant for driven shooting it is on a private estate covering some 3000 acres I am expected to provide 17, 300 bird days for my employer, rabbits and fox are considered vermin as rabbits are in such large numbers they affect crops and the fox take the pheasants, deer are present in very large numbers and as such are culled I shoot between 140 and 150 deer per year made up of roe, sika and fallow and approx 100 fox as for rabbits probably some where near 1200 per year.

as for my guns I have

That was about to be scrapped it had been handed in to the local gunshop for disposal and by chance I saw it in the rack asked about it and left with it after putting a donation in the charity box on the counter:)

The very first shotgun I ever fired was an (ancient, or at least it looked to me -as a kid- to have been used by the Egyptians pre-pyramids) H&R .410....brings back nostalgic memories.
