Lionheart Is Back!
November 22nd, 2021

Lionheart Industries® is back and stoked to celebrate the completion of its move to its new location with a Black Friday promotion. Every customer purchasing a REGULUS pistol during the Black Friday promotion will receive a 15% discount on their pistol and a free Black Arch Holsters Rev-Con™ holster with their order.

“Moving a company is no small task. Doing it during a pandemic was very challenging but we’re excited it’s behind us and we can get back to doing what we love,” says Lionheart Industries CEO Rob Falkenhayn. “Producing an heirloom-quality pistol that’s meant to be run hard means a no-sacrifice approach to design and manufacturing, and that’s what our customers deserve.”

Lionheart spent the last year consolidating its manufacturing operation from Renton, WA to its new home in Winder, Georgia. All major manufacturing operations are now performed in-house on state-of-the-art CNC machines with tolerances held to the highest standard.
REGULUS is a 9mm, all-metal pistol that includes Lionheart’s unique Double-Action+ operation that provides the security of a double action-length trigger pull with a significantly lighter first stage than any other double-action trigger on the market. Each REGULUS includes two 18-round magazines and a custom range bag with room for spare mags, a cleaning kit, and a firearm manual. 10-round magazines are available for states with capacity limitations.
SMALL PRINT: Lionheart Industries REGULUS Black Friday promotion runs through the 2021 Thanksgiving holiday weekend, beginning 11:00pm (EST) Thursday, November 25 and ending at 11:59pm (EST) Sunday, November 28. Kimber Adds Features to its Micro 9 Line-Up

Kimber Adds Features to its Micro 9 Line-Up

Kimber Innovates Micro 9 Lineup
Kimber have announced a range of improvements across their Micro 9 range of subcompact carry pistols. The news features include a mini compensator (the MC), new finishes and optics ready slides. The Micro 9 range has also expanded with several 3.15in RAPIDE pistols. Finally, Kimber have also introduced a new 7-round ‘Tac-Mag’ for the standard Micro 9 range.

Kimber Adds Features to its Micro 9 Line-Up
Micro 9 Rapide (Kimber)

Optics-ready Micro 9 Black OI (Kimber)
Below is Kimber’s full announcement:
Kimber Mfg., is bringing several premium, innovative, and performance-enhancing features to the Micro 9 family of all-metal, subcompact carry pistols.
The most groundbreaking Micro 9 pistol offers an unprecedented feature: a mini compensator (MC) made from the same aluminum alloy as the frame. These compensated Micro 9 models–the ESV Two-Tone (MC) (TP) and the Stainless (MC) (TP)–deliver a 23% reduction in muzzle rise due to the new Mini Comp (MC), which only adds an inch to the overall length (7.09”) versus a standard Micro 9 (6.1”). Each pistol also ships with a set of premium TruGlo Tritium Pro (TP) sights installed from the factory. ESV Two-Tone (MC) (TP) MSRP: $975; Stainless (MC) (TP) MSRP: $889.
For those wanting to get a Micro 9 built to meet the current trend in compact, optic-installed (OI) pistols, the striking Black (OI) and Stainless (OI) models each sport a Swamp Fox Sentinel red dot optic constructed from 7075 aluminum with a red reticle that is manually adjusted for brightness and includes a “shake n wake” feature. Black (OI) $904; Stainless (OI) MSRP: $904
Three additional striking Micro 9 models in the RAPIDE family are also available. In keeping with the RAPIDE family’s unique aesthetics, these models all feature slides with stepped cocking serrations, and slide-lightening cuts as well as Tru-Glo TFX Pro Day/Night sights. The frames include Kimber’s Stiplex textured front strap, and G-10 grips. The RAPIDE Dawn variant is finished in Silver KimPro II with brush-polished flats, and the barrel is finished in Gold TiN, while the RAPIDE Scorpius pistols are finished in Black KimPro II with brush-polished flats and Black DLC barrels. The third iteration of the new Micro 9 RAPIDE is styled after the original 1911 RAPIDE design, with a frame and slide finished in Black KimPro II and a Gold TiN barrel. RAPIDE Dawn MSRP: $985; RAPIDE Scorpius MSRP: $985; Standard RAPIDE MSRP: $985
The Micro 9 models make use of a 3.15-inch barrel, 16-pound recoil spring, and a 7-round magazine. Measurements for the new Micro 9 models are 6.1” long (Mini Comp models are 7.1”), 4.07” tall, and weigh slightly less than a pound at 15.6 ounces. All the new Micro 9 pistols retain familiar 1911 ergonomics and a single-action trigger in a compact 9mm platform. The guns use stainless-steel barrels and slides paired with high-quality aluminum frames to keep the pistols as lightweight as possible. All are finished in a variant of KimPro II to prevent corrosion and minimize wear.
Kimber also announces the new 7-round Tac-Mag™ for Micro 9 pistols (except Micro 9 RAPIDE models). This new premium, high-performance Micro 9 magazine is outfitted with a Teflon-coated follower and a chrome-silicon alloy steel spring to enhance feeding and overall reliability, while simultaneously improving the pistol’s grip and recoil-control via a textured finger extension for additional purchase on the gun’s easily concealed frame. MSRP: $53.95

Shadow Systems Launches XR920 Crossover Pistol

Shadow Systems have announced the launch of a new line of pistols, the XR920. Available in Elite or Combat models, the XR920 has a full-size frame and a compact slide. Both models come optic ready and feature a match-grade barrel (threaded and unthreaded options available) and are finished in a black nitride or bronze Titanium Carbonitride.

Shadow Systems have also released a promo video for the new pistols:

Here’s Shadow Systems full announcement:
Born out of a custom request for Law Enforcement, the new Shadow Systems XR920 is the most anticipated crossover pistol to hit the market. Utilizing a compact length slide that is quicker out of the holster, a full 17+1 capacity frame, and the customizable ergonomics and unmatched recoil control you expect from a Shadow Systems pistol, the XR920 is mission ready and available at retail now.
Chambered in 9mm, the XR920 crossover features a compact slide machined from 17-4 stainless steel and showcases two distinct styles – Combat and Elite. The entry-level Combat features directional left and right-side serrations located at the front and rear of the slide. Elite models feature the same directional serrations as a Combat, plus additional topside serrations and a weight-optimizing window cut that visually differentiates the Elite slide from the Combat slide. The patented Optic Cut comes standard on both the Elite and Combat XR920 slides, providing the strongest, lowest, multi-footprint optics mounting system on the market today. The match grade, stainless steel spiral fluted barrel is available in a threaded or unthreaded option and finished in a black nitride or bronze Titanium Carbonitride.
The XR920’s polymer frame delivers ergonomics designed to make you faster on target, aggressive grip texture, and an extended beavertail that positions the pistol ultra-low in the shooter’s hand and eliminates the dreaded slide bite. A recoil thumb ledge assists in reducing muzzle flip and enhances the controllability of the pistol, allowing shooters to remain on target and increase their accuracy on follow-up shots. Like all Shadow Systems pistols, the XR920 includes the unique Natural Point-of-Aim (NPOA) backstraps. These backstraps allow individuals to match the way the muzzle points to their natural point of aim. No longer limited to small, medium or large, shooters instead choose between low (1911-style), neutral (similar to many models on the market) and high (for a higher muzzle orientation).
The complete Shadow Systems family of pistols provides a solution for any situation. The full-size DR920 is appropriate for duty use, home defense and competition. The compact multi-role MR920 and MR920L are well-suited to a multitude of uses, particularly concealed carry.
Whether your pistol is your nightstand security blanket or your daily duty partner, there is a Shadow Systems pistol to fit the role. Explore the full lineup at www.shadowsystemscorp.com/

Comp-Tac Releases Dual Concealment Holster

HOUSTON, TEXAS – November 29, 2021 – Comp-Tac® is proud to announce the release of the Dual Concealment Holster, a holster that can be worn both inside the waistband (IWB) or outside the waistband (OWB).

The Dual Concealment Holster – DCH is the best solution on the market for users who need versatility in their carry methods. Offering both IWB or OWB carry options, the DCH is fast to put on or take off and adapts to each user’s needs. For users who carry inside the waistband (IWB) the DCH offers a small footprint, slim profile, optics compatible option that can be slipped into the pants at a moment’s notice. With adjustment, the clip can be configured to carry at appendix, 3:00 side carry or behind the hip. For users looking for an outside the waistband (OWB) option, the paddle attachment offers the closest, fastest, most versatile attachment. The paddle attachment rides above the belt line making this the thinnest OWB carry option in Comp-Tac’s line up. The paddle is worn inside the waistband, allowing the holster to fit at any position on the belt line and can be put on or taken off in a matter of seconds, but stays securely during the draw with the molded wings.
“Many individuals that carry concealed have a variety of holsters for different weather, clothing options, guns and carry methods. While no one holster can be the answer to every situation, the Dual Concealment Holster was designed to help those users who want to switch between inside the waistband carry and outside the waistband carry simply and easily,” explained Randi Rogers, director of brand management at Comp-Tac.
You can watch the official product video for the Dual Concealment Holster at youtu.be/8QJZpnko724.

Radian Weapons Introduces AFTERBURNER + RAMJET – Micro Compensator and Barrel
November 29th, 2021

The Radian Afterburner™ and Ramjet™ introduce industry-leading recoil reduction while fitting into a conceal carry platform and are compatible with GLOCK® G19 pistols. Welcome to the next evolution of handgun performance.
At just .47″ long, the Radian Afterburner(TM) offers unprecedented performance in a micro-compensator and is more effective than the majority of full-size compensators on the market. Its angled front face aids in holstering.

The INTRA-LOK mounting system uses the taper lock principle; a tapered locking screw interfaces with an angled V-groove on the underside of the barrel. This perfectly times the compensator as it locks down onto the upper barrel profile on the muzzle end of the barrel.

PSA should release a AR lower The Kyle Rittenhouse model and perhaps even donate a percentage to his legal defense fund,I know I'd be in for one.
I just read yesterday that some Socialist Student club at the University of Arizona (where Kyle Rittenhouse attends college) wants him kicked out and banned from the campus and are calling him a murderer. Being cleared by a jury of his peers just isn’t good enough for them.

Nearly 700,000 Background Checks Run During Black Friday ‘Week’

SIG, H&K, FN, and Glock on display with a variety of bolt guns at Gallenson's Guns.
The National Shooting Sports Foundation, the firearms industry’s trade association, has revealed FBI National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) data indicating that NICS processed 687,788 background checks during the week leading up to and including Black Friday. FBI’s NICS recorded 187,585 on Black Friday alone, ranking it among the Top 10 Highest Days for NICS checks.
Check out the table below:
Nearly 700,000 Background Checks Run During Black Friday ‘Week’
NICS data (NSSF)

NICS data (NSSF)
Here’s the NSSF’s release on the data:
The National Shooting Sports Foundation® (NSSF®), the firearm industry trade association, revealed that the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) processed 687,788 background checks during the week leading up to and including Black Friday. FBI’s NICS recorded 187,585 on Black Friday alone, ranking it among the Top 10 Highest Days for NICS checks and a .50 percent increase from Black Friday 2020 (186,645). The NICS checks are unadjusted, representing raw data from the FBI and are inclusive of all background checks related to firearms.
NSSF has worked with firearm retailers to spread out special sales offers to customers throughout the week leading up to Black Friday so as not to overwhelm FBI NICS on Black Friday which can result in longer than normal wait times.
“This figure of over 687,000 background checks is truly remarkable,” said Joe Bartozzi, NSSF President and CEO. “This year has already been shaping up to be the second strongest year for firearm sales on record, second only to 2020’s record-breaking number of 21 million background checks for a firearm sale. We anticipate, based on annual data, that firearm sales will rise during the final month of the year coinciding with hunting seasons and holiday sales. This figure, though, underscores the appetite for lawful firearm ownership in America and the resilience of the firearm and ammunition industry to meet that demand.”

Very nice, but very pricey. I’d like to try a suppressor on one of the higher calibers sometime since the only one I have tried before was a .22 pistol.

Federal Connection: Sending Ammo to Your Door Monthly
Font Automotive exterior Automotive design Rim Electric blue

Wood Font Publication Wood stain Magenta

With the ammunition shortages we’ve all been facing since the Great Toilet Paper Hoarding of 2020, finding ammo has become quite a task. The first store you go to might have some 9mm, but you have to travel to two more before you find .45 ACP (in case you need to win a third world war). Centralizing your ammunition needs would make things so much easier. Federal Premium is coming at you like an infomercial that’s offering you even more. Not only have they centralized your ammo shopping needs, but they’ll drop it on your doorstep. This is Federal’s new monthly ammunition subscription service, Federal Connection.

"Never worry about running out of your go-to loads again. Through Federal Connection, our all-new ammunition subscription service, you can sign up for a one-year contract and we’ll deliver five boxes of your favorite ammunition right to your door each month—shipping is free."

Signing up for Federal Connection means that 250 rounds of your caliber of choice will arrive at your door every month. The only calibers that are currently available are 9mm Luger, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP, though I imagine more will be available in the future. Subscriptions are limited to one subscription per caliber per household. There is no additional charge for shipping and purchases are eligible for Federal Rewards points. Subscribers must commit to a full year of service, as an early cancellation incurs a $300 fee.

PRICING
  • American Eagle Handgun (250 Rounds) 115-grain 9mm Luger: $139.99 per month
  • American Eagle Handgun (250 Rounds) 180-grain 40 S&W: $151.99 per month
  • American Eagle Handgun (250 Rounds) 230-grain 45 Auto: $169.99 per month

Am I ever glad I'm a reloader as I shoot more than that at a fraction of the price, if one is not a reloader I guess that's the price you pay for the connivence of having ammunition on hand.

They are eliminating the middle man, so they could lower the prices a little more, perhaps to 30 cents a round (shipping included).
30 cents a round is not yesterday’s prices, but compared to today’s prices, a lot of people would go for it.

I know a couple of noobs that are just happy to find ammo. They have no concept of what we were paying pre-Covid.
I think a lot of retailers and manufacturers are cashing in on that.

New Shield Red Dot – The RMSx (Reflex Mini-Sight XL Lens)

Shield Sights Red Dot RMSx – Reflex Mini Sight XL Lens

In 2021 the handgun competitions started again after a fairly quiet 2020. During the year I must have shot almost 100 stages with good quality IPSC dynamic shooting. I started out with a Glock 17 and then changed (read upgraded) to aTanfoglio Stock III Xtreme in IPSC Production Optics. This division is now clearly the second largest after production, and I think it will continue to grow as competitors get older (poor eyesight) and discover the increased fun factor with red dots.

Shield Red Dot - The RMSx (Reflex Mini-Sight XL Lens)

I’ve been using the SHIELD Reflex Mini Sight (8 MOA) all of the time this year, and I’ve had zero issues. Apart from cleaning the glass lens, I didn’t even change the battery. I like the Shield sight because it’s very unobtrusive, holds the zero and mounts very low on the slide of the gun. A friend of mine has a similar setup and probably shot more than I did, and he had zero issues as well.
Shield RMSx

Shield now have a new Red Dot called the RMSx, short for Reflex Mini-Sight XL Lens. The RMSx comes with an 80% bigger lens and the efficiency of the LED has been increased. Red dot sizes are either 4 or 8 MOA, and the dots adjust automatically between bright daylight and night vision compatibility. The lens is a 1x Hard Dip Coated Acrylic lens with low parallax.
Shield Red Dot - The RMSx (Reflex Mini-Sight XL Lens)

The standard Shield footprint is still in use and the LED is powered by a CR2032, with a battery life of about 1-2 years depending on use. In dark storage, the battery survives over 3 years. The housing is made out of aerospace-grade aluminIum with a total weight of 17.5 grams / 0.61 ounces for the complete package.
Here’s the presentation from Shield:
Introducing The RMSx (Reflex Mini-Sight XL Lens)
A sight aimed at the competitive shooter, the RMSx was specifically designed to answer a call from the competitive marketplace for a Shield Sight with a larger lens.
The lens is 80% larger than our current Mini-Sight range and is an all new, top of its class, crystal clear Hard Dip Coated Acrylic lens. Due to the larger lens, the RMSx will help our shooters to find the dot earlier in many scenarios. Most commonly when entering or exiting shooting areas and be forced to take shots while not in a stable position, allowing for faster first shot times as the shooter is able to find the
dot earlier and to decrease shot-to-shot times by allowing the shooter to stay with the dot during recoil.
The RMSx follows tradition at Shield maintaining the famous Shield Footprint, enabling it to be mounted on to any existing mount or slide cut for our Mini-Sights and is meticulously machined to have a sharp, modern look.
The RMSx will be the first sight to be delivered with our new increased efficiency LED and utilises the proven electronics that have enabled our shooters to fire over 70,000 rounds without any reliability issues.
Following the success of the Shield Customizer, the RMSx will be available in 8 colours and will be available in the most common dot sizes: 4MOA and 8MOA.

Go for Gold with Andro Corp’s AR15/M16 TiN Gold BCG
December 3rd, 2021
Back by popular demand, Andro Corp’s gold-polished titanium nitride hard-coated bolt carrier group.

Winter Garden, Fla. (November 2021) – Andro Corp., a Florida-based designer and manufacturer of quality AR platforms, uppers, lowers, and AR parts, announce the popular ACI gold polished titanium nitride hard coat BCG for AR15/M16’s is back in stock.
The gold polish adds more to the ACI BCG than just gun bling; it actually lengthens the life of the TiN nitride BCG by providing additional lubricity while combating friction. ACI’s full auto-profiled AR15/M16 TiN BCG is machined from 8620 alloy, heat-treated, and ultrasonically cleaned. The hard chrome bore is Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) coated gold and polished. The PVD coating is a technique by which a solid material is converted into a vapor to coat the subject product. This PVD process condenses the material into a vapor and turns it into a very thin, solid coating covering the piece. The benefits of PVD coating include better resistance to environmental conditions such as corrosion and abrasion and will not wear off or fade out. ACI’s gold-polished BCG is meant to accept the punishment of continuous use in any environment while maintaining optimal performance.
Additionally, the 9310 alloy bolt, machined 4140 Tool steel alloy extractor, 4130 chromoly steel alloy gas key, and 4340 chromoly steel alloy camp pin are all PVD coated and polished for additional lubricity and corrosion resistance.
ACI’s AR15/M16 TiN Gold Polished BCG is HP proof tested without evidence of failure 100 percent by using a high-pressure M197 or SAAMI commercial equivalent. MPI testing occurs after the successful HP proof test, using the ASTM E1444 inspection standard five-turn magnetizing coil.
ACI’s AR15/M16 TiN nitride BCG is 100 percent made in the USA and fully backed by ACI’s Lifetime Warranty. Available through Optics Planet with an MSRP of $199.00 (on sale). Dealers/Distributors interested in carrying Andro Corp. Industries products, contact [email protected] for more information.

The New ATF eForms – Form 4 Included

SILENCER SATURDAY #205: The New ATF EForms - Form 4 Included

As 2021 draws to a close, yesterday the ATF signaled to its industry partners that the new ATF eForms system should come online sometime in December, transitioning from the old system with a service outage of a few days. I emphasize the word should because the promise of a new and improved eForms system has been touted off and on for at least five years. Myself? I’m cautiously optimistic.

The details of the new ATF eForms NFA system are largely unclear. At the moment, all we really know is that all Silencer Shop Powered By dealers will have the capability to assist customers with the Form 4 submission through the new eForms system. I have an idea on how fingerprints, photographs and other information will be transmitted, but I’d rather not speculate until we see the final product.

One of the most important facts of the new ATF eForms system is that current forms already in process should NOT be cancelled to take advantage of the new process. The delay for that maneuver could be up to a year to receive an approved Form 4.

I’m sure there will be hiccups, outages, and errors on our new path to fast NFA approvals. But I’ll take any progress we can get.

Have a great weekend. Thanks for reading, be safe, and we’ll see you back next weekend for another Silencer Saturday.

Silencer Shop:
According to the ATF, eForms will launch between December 15 – 28, 2021!
Here is what you need to know about ATF eForms:
ATF eForms makes owning an NFA item such as a suppressor or SBR quicker and easier than ever. Central to many silencer owners is the Tax Stamp process for Forms 1 and 4, and this video will provide an overview to the ATF eForms process.
For many gun owners, they’re looking to grow their collection by adding a short barrel shotgun, rifle, machine gun or silencer to their firearms collection. By tapping into eForms, your NFA application will be digitized and your ATF wait time should be reduced. This digitization also has the capacity to reduce the likelihood of errors and increase your security.
ATF Forms 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 9 can be submitted via eForms. And this streamlined process will help you get your can in your hands, faster than ever.

American Suppressor Association
MARTINSBURG, WV – Earlier today, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) announced the imminent launch of a new electronic system for NFA transfers. Known as the eForms system, this overdue modernization will allow consumers to submit both ATF Forms 1 and 4 electronically, hopefully resulting in a significant decrease in transfer times when compared to traditional paper Forms.

According to ATF, the transition to the new system will occur sometime after December 15th, but before Christmas. The new eForms system will handle all existing NFA transfer forms, including the ATF Form 4.

If you recently submitted an NFA application, keep it in the queue. We cannot stress this enough. Withdrawing your Form 4 and re-submitting electronically will take longer than allowing your Form 4 to make its way through the approval process.

That’s because ATF isn’t going to dig through the tens of thousands of forms being processed to find your application. They’re going to wait until your Form 4 reaches an NFA examiners desk – the exact point at which it would normally be approved – to process your withdrawal. Instead of approving it though, they will acknowledge your withdrawal and release your serial number. You will not be able to re-submit an eForm 4 with the same serial number until ATF acknowledges your withdrawal and puts it back into your dealers inventory. Thus, withdrawing and re-submitting electronically will add months to your overall application process.

Once the transition to the new eForms system begins, ATF estimates that the transition will take between two to four days to complete, at which point the new eForms system will go live. ATF has indicated that they will notify industry 24 to 48 hours prior to the transition, and we will let you know as soon as we receive this notification.

While traditional paper-based applications will remain a viable option, ASA’s recommendation to consumers is that they submit new NFA applications electronically. That’s because, if the new eForms system works as promised, it will increase efficiencies by reducing form submission and payment processing times, eliminating weeks of delays in data processing, and all but eradicating data entry errors.

As we gather more information, we will keep you posted. In the meantime, stay tuned by following the American Suppressor Association on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube, and by subscribing to our newsletter.
