Both MS-1 and MS-2 are open-emitter sights with the former featuring a more rugged hood design and intended for concealed carry use and the latter being competition sight with a larger window. Let’s take a look at the specs of each of the new Bul Optics red dot sights and see what are the other differences between the two models.

SA-35 HANDGUNS

It’s had many names in its century-old history and today, we reimagine this renowned design for modern use. Based on one of the most prolific and popular pistols in small arms history, the Springfield Armory® SA-35 gives today’s shooters a modern take on a revered design. Featuring subtle but significant upgrades to John Moses Browning’s original P-35, the 9mm SA-35 captures the appeal of the “wood and steel” era of arms making while offering the upgraded enhancements of today’s defensive pistols.

Made in the U.S.A., the SA-35 features rugged forged steel parts for strength and durability, improved ergonomics and enhanced controls, modern sights, an improved feed ramp design, and an increased 15-round capacity. Configured without a magazine disconnect for a drop free magazine the SA-35 features a factory-tuned trigger with a smooth pull and crisp, clean break.

Call it a legend, call it an icon, but whatever you do, don’t call it a classic.

I'm in for one, just got off the phone with my LGS and am on the list, oh yeah.
Wait! No “GRIP ZONE ™️“?!?

Well…EAA pissed in Springfield’s wheaties 😂
Lawsuit Alert: Springfield Armory v. EAA
Lawsuit Alert: Springfield Armory v. EAA

Lawsuit Alert: Springfield Armory v. EAA
The recent burst of Hi-Power related stories just got a little weirder. Springfield Armory, whose new SA-35 has been covered here, filed a lawsuit against European American Armory Corporation, who recently announced they would be importing the Girsan MC P35 Hi-Power.
What’s This All About?
Springfield filed a complaint against EAA in federal court (4:21-cv-04177, C.D. Illinois) alleging copyright infringement and “false and deceptive labeling, false designation of origin, and unfair competition.” Interestingly, these claims are made about certain advertisements and social media posts rather than the guns themselves.
The complaint starts by laying out Springfield’s teaser campaign for the SA-35 release. Springfield posted a teaser image (which we all undoubtedly saw) with a gunsmith working at a bench and several non-subtle hints that a Hi-Power was in the works. That image was captioned “We’re bringing it back.”
Lawsuit Alert: Springfield Armory v. EAA

Springfield Armory’s social media post (Springfield Armory v. European American Armory)
Springfield’s complaint alleges that EAA impermissibly used that same image as the basis for their own social media post the next day. EAA’s post was captioned “Already been brought [fire emoji]” which seems like a clear reference to the Springfield post. The EAA post also included the hashtag #springfieldarmory, which certainly seems to point to Springfield’s post as well.
Lawsuit Alert: Springfield Armory v. EAA

EAA’s social media post (Springfield Armory v. European American Armory)
The similarities between Springfield’s post and the image posted by EAA are pretty clear. EAA’s post has some changes, including an Akkar Churchill shotgun in place of the M1A, changing the logo on the gunsmith’s shirt, and text about the Girsan MC P35 in lieu of the date listed in the Springfield picture.
Springfield claims this has caused confusion among consumers. A screenshot of a social media capture is included in the complaint as evidence of this confusion.

Evidently I missed the write up from last month…
EAA Introduces the Girsan MC P35 Pistol Based on JMB’s Design
EAA Introduces the Girsan MC P35 Pistol Based on JMB's Design

Fans of the legendary Browning Hi-Power semi-automatic pistol will be excited to know that EAA is introducing their new Girsan MC P35 9mm pistol. Based on the same design as the original John Moses Browning Hi-Power pistol, the P35 promises all the reliability, accuracy, and performance that the original did but in new production firearms. EAA will be importing these firearms from the Turkish firearms manufacturer, Girsan based in Giresun, Turkey.

EAA Introduces the Girsan MC P35 Pistol Based on JMB’s Design
A couple of years ago many were disappointed to hear that browning discontinued what amounted to one of the most important firearms designs of the 20th century. Although parts are still available from Browning, no new Hi-Power pistols are being made. EAA has stepped in to pick up the slack and breath new life into the Hi-Power design. The EAA MC P35 pistols will still be chambered in 9mm. The pistol has an overall length of 7.75″, a barrel length of 4.87″, weighs 1.8-pounds unloaded, has a 15-round magazine capacity, and comes in black color only at the time of writing. Other features include windage adjustable rear sight, a dovetail front sight, a traditional slim trigger shoe, a serrated hammer ring, and enhanced external controls (extractor, ambi safety, and magazine disconnect safety).

The P35 will be built on a steel frame with a matching steel slide that features a matte black finish giving the entire handgun a very muted look compared to the polished slides and wooden grips of the original Hi-Power designs (the MC P35 will come with synthetic checkered grips). If you’ve ever been curious about the original Hi-Power pistol (which goes for north of $1,200 in many cases) and just couldn’t stomach the price of one, perhaps the opening MSRP of $528 that EAA is offering on the Girsan P35 will convince you to finally try out what has to be one of the most iconic pistols of the 20th century.

The new CZ SP-01 Competition Red & Blue Pistols builds on its proven lineage, adding match-ready upgrades and race-gun features competition shooters will be excited about. This new CZ-USA high-performance pistol excels on the range and at home.
The new competition model inherits its build quality from its parent model, the SP-01, so the fit and finish of the steel frame and slide are impeccable. At the same time, matching +4 mag bases add extra ammo capacity to the SP-01 Competition Red & Blue. A total ammo capacity of 21+1 rounds equals fewer reloads and faster stage times.
Both left- and right-hand shooters love the SP-01’s ergonomic design. The grips fit equally well in either hand, and the pistol’s ambidextrous safety is comfortably positioned at the rear of the frame directly above the grip. CMC Triggers Announce it is Enhancing its Business Model to Better Serve Distribution and Customers

CMC Triggers made significant changes to staffing and sales to serve customers faster, smarter, and better.

CMC Triggers headquarters, Fort Worth, Texas.

Fort Worth, Texas (October 2021) – CMC Triggers Corp., a Texas-based, family-owned and operated company designing and producing quality aftermarket gun parts and accessories, is revamping areas of the business to become a more agile and proficient supplier of their products to retailers, distributors, and end-users.
During the pandemic, shoppers across the board relied more on the online shopping experience for everything from food products to firearms accessories. CMC Triggers President, Jack Biegel, quickly identified his customers’ changing purchasing habits, and responded with meaningful changes within the corporate structure.
CMC Triggers reduced its internal sales staff and is in the process of streamlining online ordering for retailers. As part of their new corporate strategy, CMC Triggers ensures all customers, including retailers and distributors, that the same high-quality aftermarket gun parts will continue to be available through a faster, better, and smarter system. CMC Triggers’ outstanding customer service will also continue to surpass customer expectations.
“In our highly competitive market, it is important for a company to respond aggressively, without sacrificing the quality of product and customer service,” Biegel stated. “We want to eliminate layers within our business to become nimbler and give our customers the best American-made products and service in a streamlined approach. There is one thing, though, that CMC Triggers will not sacrifice, and that is the amount of research and development, testing, and quality control that goes into each product designed at our facility. When we announce a new model or product, our customers can rest assured it meets our rigorous standard and can stand up in any environment from the range to the battlefield.”

Strike Industries Mass Driver Now Available for Gen5 Glocks
Mass

Strike Industries is based in California. The restrictions in that hell ho…state have given inspiration to the company for many products that would otherwise not be allowed. Their Megafin was a massive help when running a featureless AR. Using their passion for innovation, the folks at Strike Industries also found a way to give people in restricted states access to pistol compensators. The Mass Driver, a compensator that doesn’t require a threaded barrel, is now available for Gen5 Glock pistols.

Mass

The Strike Industries Mass Driver Compensator (MDC) represents a quantum leap in compensator design. Current designs have largely been unchanged since the 1930s. It’s about time for something revolutionary. The Mass Driver name is inspired by the idea of theoretical mass driver engines in space travel. By ejecting mass, an equal and opposite reaction is generated propelling the space vehicle forward.
Strike Industries Mass Driver Now Available for Gen5 Glocks
Mass

The Strike Industries Mass Driver is now available for Gen5 G19s and G17s that are running a standard slide. It uses expelled gases to counterbalance felt recoil. It eliminates the need for a threaded barrel by attaching to your pistol with the included recoil spring and guide rod. It is not recommended that you use +P or +P+ ammunition, as it will lead to spring failure.
Mass

SPECS
  • Length: 35.85mm
  • Width: 26.10mm
  • Height: 16.25mm
  • Weight: 3.2 oz
  • MSRP: $89.96 to $99.95
Mass

If you know and love the Mass Driver for your previous generation Glocks, or want to try it for the first time on your Gen5, hit up the Strike Industries website to grab one. Strike often updates customers before anyone else through their social media, so make sure to like and follow for more. You can find them on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter. Don’t overcompensate for your shortcomings!

Comp-Tac Releases CT3 Level III Duty Holster
November 3rd, 2021
HOUSTON, TX – November 2, 2021 – Comp-Tac® releases an optics and light compatible, Level III Duty Holster – The CT3™.

The CT3 is designed so the user can deactivate the three levels of retention while maintaining their master grip. The intuitive release mechanism equals economy of motion, faster, more consistent draws and less training time. The three level of retention are the hood, automatic ejection port lock and friction retention, to prevent unintentional removal of your handgun. The CT3 activation lever releases the hood when pressed, and only releases the ejection port lock when held down during the draw. These features, combined with Comp-Tac’s unique and masterful approach to holster body construction, give the CT3 unparalleled fit, security, and draw speed. A variety of mounting options are available including drop offset, mid-ride belt, SQR (Secure Quick Release), PLM (Push-Button Locking Mount), and an adaptor plate for QLS system.

“The CT3 is the result of two years of design, testing and partnership between Comp-Tac and multiple departments and members of the law enforcement community,” explained Gordon Carrell general manager of Comp-Tac. “For years, Comp-Tac has been a leading supplier of concealed carry and off duty equipment. We wanted to be able to take the skills that we have acquired and the relationships we have built in the industry to offer a solution for the men and women on the front lines of our law enforcement, military and all users wanting multiple levels of retention.”
You can watch the official product videos for the CT3™ at youtu.be/So_qqwvsBCw and CT3™ Official Product Video
In addition to the CT3 Holster, Comp-Tac® has also released the CT2™ Series of holsters. The CT2-A™ Holster offers two levels of retention with an ejection port lock that automatically locks when the weapon is holstered along with friction retention. A safety shroud assists in concealing the activation lever to provide an additional layer of safety and security. Designed using super durable Kydex®, the CT2-A Holster has numerous mounting options.
The CT2-H™ Holster uses both a hood and friction providing two levels of retention. The safety shroud assists in concealing the activation level for the user’s safety and the safety of others. Friction retention screws can be adjusted for a secure hold around the trigger guard and muzzle. Aircraft-grade Kydex® is strategically formed to restrict any undesired movement also known as “holster rattle” while the weapon is holstered. The CT2-H is designed with the user in mind for safety, security, and superior all-day-wear comfort.
The CT2-A and CT2-H product video can be seen at CT2-A™/CT2-H™ Product Video.
