BLM/Antifa and no political will to address them means you and yours are on their own at the worst of times.
You do know that Antifa is not an actual entity, it's just a term that is short for Anti-Facists. Additionally, blaming the Black Lives Matter movement for the "worst of times" seems very hypocritical being that the extreme right have caused even worse chaos! Just take a look at the Jan 6th failed attempted takeover of the Capitol. I'm a republican but I don't buy into the extreme right's propaganda.

BLM is a radical group bent on destroying America. Almost every incident they’ve pushed to incite riots has been proved false.
Antifa is a movement born out of Europe to destroy the capitalist system. It’s not so much an entity the same way the Bloods and Crips aren’t an entity. Groups of people take on the identity and become a group.
Tens of thousands of people participated in the January 6 event and had zero participation in the “storming” of the Capital.
The destruction and mayhem perpetrated against the nation during BLM/Antifa riots cannot even be compared to January 6th.
Just like Russian Collusion, 1/6 has to be hyped by the media and politicians to garner support and attention.

There's absolutely no point in having a discussion with someone that has been blinded by the extreme right's propaganda, and this isn't the forum for it anyway. I made my point, and you can continue to live with your distorted view of reality. I'm out of this conversation, I won't be responding any further!

Your reply, a couple of posts above, (#58) is disturbing and leans a lot to the left.
Not trying to offend anyone, but by no means am I on the left. I just don't buy into all the finger pointing, it's the simple concept of misdirection. To me the far right (and far left) creates all these narratives to distract from the real issues. Neither the left nor the right are perfect, and both far sides of the left AND the right do a great job of drawing attention away from their own f**k ups by pointing the finger at others.

Just because I don't buy all the conspiracy theories from the far right, doesn't mean I'm on the left.

If you want to have a civilized conversation, we can take it offline and discuss in DMs, but discussing this here is most definitely going to get some some people all riled up.

It’s my first Cadillac restoration & I’m already hoping I even break even on it. It’s a project car my bro & I am fixing up.
Very nice. A friend of mine use to own a shop in Colorado where they did high level car restorations.
One of the last projects they did was this rag top Cadillac with a red leather interior.
It cost the owners a pretty penny but took 1st place in its class in the first three shows it was entered in, including the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, with 100+ point scores.

I am envious
If you have the time and inclination, I can warmly recommend to visit Nepal. You don't have to go on a climbing expedition which requires a lot of preparation, training, and experience, is expensive, and takes time (think of one to two months, including the acclimatization and the endless logistics).

Just go on a trekking, which is a supported multi day hike through the countryside or higher up, as technical as you want it to be. The sherpas and porters will take good care of you no matter how remote you are, food is delicious, people are friendly, and it's a poor country so they really do like the tourists. It's a once in a lifetime experience.

I’m not sure I’ll ever make it to Nepal, but I do spend time at Trapeze.

I watched the TV show Everest: beyond the limit. Amazing all the work, preparation, money, time and mental/physical exertion involved.
Incredible.

Everest is a whole ball of wax on its own ... in terms of $$$ and the amount of people who aspire to summit.

A classic novel and movie based on it is "Into Thin Air" by Jon Krakauer, about the infamous 1996 season where many inexperienced climbers died when the weather suddenly turned and they failed to turn back in time. I have friends who summited but I know it's not for me, even if I had the time and money. I know I don't perform well at high altitudes and I don't like the big masses of people all trying to get up to the summit.

No. No offense either, but we will be wasting both of our time.
A bunch of idiots entering the Capitol on January 6th, although it was wrong, were not the actions of the far right and anyone who calls it far right is simply supporting the far left narrative.
And yes, the BLM riots were a lot worse, and a much darker time for our country. But they are still running free.
