Finally picked up my Glock 26 Gen4 after a very long 5 days!! I have been all over this site as well as other waiting to pick this up! First thing I did was purchase the Pearce Grip Extension for a little more comfort. I have found the painted letters thread so Im thinking of doing that this week also. Any other ideas for a first time hand gun/glock owner? Im thinking of some night sights also! I will be using this concealed once I get my license in the mail!!!

Hello, TheProduct, and WELCOME to the Forum!

Nice choice in model and caliber, that's my favorite and EDC, too!

Is the magazine in the pic fully inserted? Seems to protrude too much.

Check out an old thread on using G17 mags in the '26.... http://www.glockforum.com/forum/f11/opinions-extended-mag-adapters-1003/

Cheers!
Welcome, from Northwest Florida... Please allow me to introduce your new Gen 4 to one of her cousins, Sue. She has become my constant companion. I take care of her, she takes care of me.

Hey,Product... You may be interested in one of these. I keep one on a mag for ankle carry. A package of two runs about twenty bucks. Just another option.http://www.concealablecontrol.com/advantage.html

thanks Bocadan! What range do you use? Closest one to my house is Shoot-Straight, any other local recommendations??
Welcome!! The Glock 26 is one of my favorite guns, it is always a painful decision to carry that or the 19.
Greetings from Tampa Bay. The G26 is a great choice for a CCW. Mine is a Gen 2.5 I use for EDC with Meprolight Tru Dot night sights, Jentra grip plug and extended slide stop lever.

You know I have to check out Shoot Straight one of these days. I used to frequent Delray Shooting Center in Delray Beach, Arizona shooting range by Lauderdale Lakes & also National Armory in Pompano Beach. There's also Palm Beach Shooting Center in Lake Worth couple miles south of you, but I'm yet to try them out too

I say "used to" for most of the above because I discovered Markham Park Target Range a few months ago and have become a frequent there. All open air, 60 something odd lanes, cool breezes & 100 yard rifle/pistol etc.

I just checked out Markham Park, it looks pretty awesome. Just a little far from me but it could be worth the drive!!
I'm in Ft. Lauderdale. I do a lot of MTB on Markham's trails, but never been to the range. I kind of like the auto target movement @ Bass Pro in Dania & the ability to double tap or rapid fire at Bill Boyd's in downtown Laudy. Is Markham worth it? Do I have to walk out to place target? Seems very strict, given the rules I've read online. Perhaps I'll try it tomorrow.

I painted my letters today. Bright yellow. Nail polish & Non-acetone remover. Very easy. Did three coats on slide & 5 magazines during Game 7 NYRanger hockey win. So 3.5 hours for all. Turned out amazing. If I can figure out how to post a picture, I will ASAP.
