Not a 1911 fan, but if it weren't an April Fool's joke I'm sure there be a long waiting list......... unfortunately for the 1911 crowd it's about as April Fool's as can be.

This might not be as far off as most people think. Rock River Arms has just announced that they are going to sell a polymer frame 1911. It's even shown on their website already.
Glock will probably never make a 1911, nice thought tho, and there is already double stack 1911 frames on the market by STI and others.
