I voted, but it got me thinking. Instead of white with a OD tribal, what about a FDE base with a coyote tan tribal or a Tan base with the OD tribal. I think those would look cool! This just gave me some new ideas...

You know I bet the Coyote Tan with the OD green tribal would look bad ass......going to have to break out GIMP in a bit.

So I took about three minutes and tossed together a rough Coyote Tan / OD Tribal sketch. The colors are going to be off from the real colors. I used a generic tribal I'm not too fond of because I already had it, and a tribal eagle that I think is cool as **** lol. The tribal needs to spread and flow more into all parts of the gun and be more free style not so cookie cutter.

I don't fill in the grip finngers and rear on mockups it takes too long.

I'll work on a solid mockup tonight of everything, but this is an idea.

If you do like your talking about about the tribal flow around the gun, it will be wicked.

Another question or idea, about a year ago over on "x", a guy posted a AR he had painted using wrapped rag-yarn for the templet, remember it? I loved the pattern it ended up with, think this could be done with Duracoat?

I'm not a member there, but I havem't found anything I can't do with Duracoat. If you get me a pic, I can do it.

And the tribal will wrap the gun. I'm going to work on the sketches tonight since I'm home alone.

Go figure I started laying and a friend emailed me what he's looking for, and Ashley finally approved a design for her G27. Here's a new rendering of the Tan/OD Tribal, and ashleys design.

Both of these designs leave the controls black, and feature polished barrels. On Ashley's the grip area and slide grooves are intentionally left white, they will be white on the gun.

Here is my buddies mockup for his G17. Basic, in Electric Blue and Arctic Grey with Black accents. Last summer he survived a shark attack thanks to his G17 on a beach in Fort Meyers, and he sent me the image he wanted and the colors. I sent it over to him, hopefully I capture the simplicity he is looking for.

thanks for the feedback guys. The actual tribal will flow much better and wrap the gun because I will freehand it. Hard to freehand on the laptop just for a markup

think the pink is my favorite LOL.

Im using GIMP and honestly im hack jobbing it because im pretty terrible with graphic arts. It gets my point across though. If you are on Windows Photoshop is another option, though i perfer GIMP.

My Glock had a warranty? Seriously though yea it has to void it i imagine.

thats pretty sweet. If you know any scrapbookers (wife or friends) I used the thing called a Cricut and made my design, it cuts it out and I am ready to paint.. Never thought I would use a scrapbooking thing, but it works perfect for any design. I also used thicker tagboard. My hands are not that steady so that is the only way I can do it.
