I'm pretty new to Glock. I have a model 31 and love it. I was told that I could drop a .40 cal barrel in and run it a bit cheaper. I found a barrel on the cheap, but it is ported and my slide is not. I am thinking I should not run this barrel in my weapon. Thoughts? Thanks in advance.

What brand barrel? Because most aftermarket barrels if they're ported most are extended, so you don't have to worry about the slide..

If it's ported where it would be inside the slide then yes that would not be good. If it's an extended barrel that sticks out and has a couple of ports outside the slide you would be good. I run a.40 barrel in my .357sigs because it's much cheaper.
