I can't decide between the 19, 23 or 32 all are generation 3 and all are 489.99.

I have read about all pros and cons of the 9, 40 and 357 I just can't make up my mind.

Choices..... You gotta make choices.

What are you using it for, CC? In that case I went with the 19. The .40 and .357 scare me with penetration values. I'd rather send a few out at once then worry about my bullets hitting more than I want them to.

I have the 19 gen 3 and I love it. A lot of ranges allow you to rent so I recommend shooting all three to see what feels best to you. The biggest difference between those models is going to be the recoil and the ammo prices. Is it going to be used primarily for range, carry, or both? If it is range the 9 will be the cheapest ammo (I think...I'm not sure about the prices for the 357 but I know the 9 is cheaper than the 40).

357 is between 40 and 45 i think for prices. My EDC is my 19 Gen4, and my back up is my G30. The 19 has been a solid gun for me. It was also my range weapon till about a week ago :D. Either way the frame is the same between all 3, so the fit will be the same. The 19 is going to be best for recoil. I do want a 32 at some point for my car. I hear the penetration value on the .357 sig is pretty high. So I want one in the car incase I need to shoot through doors lol.

I have shot them actually I found that the 40 has the most recoil then the 357 and 9 having the least.

Not bad at all for out the door. Congrats on joining us in the 19 club, you'll like it here :D. That was my first handgun and I will NEVER part with it. Its a great shooter, conceals easy, and I can take out all my first shooter friends with it and they get enough kick to have fun but not enough to scare them away from it.

Just a little update. A few weeks ago I purchased a Glock 19 and have to say I have not been disappointed so far. However I have been torn between the 9mm and the .40 so today I picked up a Glock 23 to give the 19 and 21 some company.

Never been able to warm up to the 40cal even though I've given it about 5 tries. Closest I came with a Beretta PX4 Storm in 40cal. The rotating barrel seemed to tame the recoil impulse a bit better but still, nothing to write home about. I swear, my G30 shooting 230gr hardball has less felt recoil then any 40cal I've ever shot, even using the 180gr sub-sonic stuff which doesn't have near the recoil impulse as the 155-165gr stuff.
If I could have a 45acp I'd just drop back and punt and get a 9x19mm, at least ammo is cheap and plentiful. Since I handload though it's pretty much a moot point, 45acp doesn't cost all that much more to load then anything else although it does eat up a bit more lead when I cast bullets for it. Something I'll have to start buying since my free source of wheel weights is no longer available. Anyway, congrats on the 19 and the 23, now ya' need a G30 so you'll have one in each caliber. :D
