Here is a pic of my new toy I picked up at the local gunshow sunday. I have wanted one but wasn't planning on getting this soon. Especially since I'm a diehard Glock guy (hence my user name).

Anyway Iam very happy with it.

Its a Springfield Armory 1911, It's a very sexy gun. It took awhike to make up my mind but in the end I couldn't resist.

Very nice indeed! Looks so pretty your making me want to go get one but 5 guns in 5 months is enough. Got to wait till end of summer beginning of fall to get another one. At least one 1911 is on my list to get.

I have been debating a 1911 also. But I keep comparing it to the 21! Being a southpaw I find the safety on the 1911 an issue rising up from my hand and then it locks the gun. And, with Glocks already at home in my hand, not to mention the price difference, I'm gonna use my coupon a get the 21. but that's just me. Besides the gun is only as accurate as the guy pulling the trigger. (that was for the expected accuracy comments).

Yes I know. Its a very nice gun, feels great and shoots real nice without to much recoil felt but thats most likely because of the weight.
