My new Glock 30 Gen 4, New CCW, and new caliber for me

Since moving to New Hampshire, from the New Orleans area, I've 3 really serious road rage incidents, and just a week ago a attempted carjacking. Some people I know said the car I drive brought it on. I drive a like new looking BMW 2009 white Z4. I was in downtown Manchester on Elm St. at one of the many red lights. Noticed a guy on the curb at the corner talking to 2 other men all looked homeless, mid 20s or 30 somethings. The light was red, cross traffic was light. The shortest of the bunch started approach my window, witch was up. He got to about 20 ft of my car, raised his right arm, brandishing a heavy looking bent tire iron/crowbar. I pulled my new Glock from the door well, made sure all was in the ready. I pulled the slide back enough to see brass. He yelled something like "I want that car!" I brandished my little Glock, and he took off, fell on his face. The light turned green and off I went. I got on I 93 and drove home. I popped the mag out, thinking it may not fire with the mag out. I'll test this when I return to the range. I picked up my new holster today, a Safariland. It is a paddle holster. I used to carry a Walther SS PPK in a paddle but the weight of that Walther fully loaded kept pulling it down. The Safariland locks the Glock into the holster, and I'll have to practice releasing it while drawing it. Although my new Glock is .45 cal with 10 rnd , it is more comfortable to carry than the .380 PPK SS. in my pocket holster. Does Glock sell a cleaning kit dedicated to Glock?

Welcome aboard from North Texas.
A branded cleaning kit is usually a waste of money. There are plenty of cheap kits out there that will do as good a job as any expensive kit. A retired toothbrush is your best friend.
Glocks and most polymer framed guns don’t have a magazine safety, so they will fire without the mag in the gun.

Wrong thinking.

One of the many reasons I carry them.

Glad you thwarted the attack. Too many thugs these days. Arming oneself is the only answer.
