On my field stripping video, I included the two most basic safety tests: thumb safety and grip safety: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GD_g-o2H8us"]field stripping the 1911 video[/ame],

Here is a chapter two video, featuring those safety/function tests.

Not bad overall but I do wish you would learn the proper nomenclature of the parts. And in your second video you failed to check the weapon clear for ammo. Yea, nic picking I know. Attention to detail is the key though and newbies learn through repetition.
Perhaps you missed the large red warning at the beginning of the video....

If you can do something better, by all means, provide it.

Those who can, do, those who can't, whine about those who do.
He was just giving his honest opinion. No need to be rude. I understand your putting yourself out there while putting youtube vids up but we are not trolls trying to get under your skin. We just give feedback. As I recall you posted a thread with a vid of your G21 that was really liked by a lot of people here. Don't you think that was a little harsh because he gave some constructive criticism on this vid?

We're good, my panties aren't in any wad. Thanks for covering my six, I do appreciate it though. Maybe I should have taken it all bcak channel but I really get tired of people trying to do something good and make silly mistakes that make them look bad overall.

There are too many people in my lifetime that have had firearms accidents because they thought they knew what they were doing. Nowadays we have plenty of people professing to be instructors trying to train the masses on firearms. I'm sure there'll be lawsuits sooner or later if not all ready.

Handling objects that can kill you is no joke as we all know. A serious tone needs to be set and manufactures instructions and or guidelines followed pretty strictly IMO to prevent the new person with little to no machanical ability from serious injury.

But I'm just an fool in a new era, what do I know?

Glock Forum is a better place for most but like all things, change must come.
I just thought you gave valid points and he jumped on you like you had insulted his mother. That ain't right.

Umm... Why are you wearing panties??? That... Concerns me. Lol

Reminds me of the old days. We would wear a pair of girls panties (actually my wifes with her permission cuz the were torn) during SCUBA or any lightweight diving gear ops. During the very cold weather it helped to get the wetsuit on and off faster. But I really enjoyed the hotwater suits and dry suits that followed.

Now the only time I get into panties... well, we won't go there!:)

Glad I'm not the only one.

Hey, listen, I'm all for constructive criticism, but when a person leads with a foolish remark based on the fact that he wasn't paying attention when he watched the video . . . that kind of thing gives off the distinct odor of troll. Or, maybe that was his knickers in a knot?

I don't know.

:D
I am sub'd to your channel and enjoy the vids you make. I don't want to have a bad relationship with anyone on the is site. It one of the reasons why I like it here so much is because everyone is pretty friendly. Maybe it was just me but you came off kinda strong on your second post. That's all I am trying to say.

Your main audience is new gun owners I believe. It seems that you make a lot of vids with them in mind. It would be good to see you safety check on film even if you mention it before the film. It would be teaching new gun owners a good habit.

Besides that I have no complaints about your channel. Keep up the good work.
