This is my Mossberg 500 Cruiser chambered in 12 gauge. The 500 series comprises widely varying models of hammerless, pump action repeaters, all of which share the same basic receiver and action, but differ in bore size, barrel length, choke options, magazine capacity, and "furniture" ( stock and forearm) materials
20 gauge 500 slugster I bought it last summer, put 30 rounds through it free standing at 50 yards picking on a clay pigeon. It was dead on out of the box. Took it deer hunting this winter, 2 hours later 1 shot and I got my deer. I was kind of disappointing it was over so fast, but I got my deer!

Looks great, Shooter! Are you going to get a bayonet for it too? PS... Welcome back. You have been missed.
Yes Deuce...the Ontario M9 bayonet has been ordered. Had been looking for a M590A1 SPX...which comes with the bayonet/scabbard, picatinny rail, Ghost Ring Rear & M16-Style Front Sight, and ported barrel...but didn't see one at any of the gun shows I frequent. Going price in my area for an SPX ( Item #50771 ) was estimated at close to $850. ( MSRP: $894 +tax +delivery @ Mossberg's site ). My M590A1 is Item #51663...( MSRP: $708 +tax +delivery @ Mossberg's site ) which I got for $499 OTD ( including PA Tax and PICS ). The M9 bayonet is costing me $100.99 from MidwayUSA ( free shipping ) which goes for around $135 at the Ontario Knife Co ( OKC ) site and the porting job on the barrel will be even better than the Mossberg SPX when it's done by Vang Comp Systems ( VCS ) which is going to be $240 total. That brings it in right about $840... http://www.mossberg.com/product/shotguns-pump-action-mossberg-590a1-special-purpose-590a1/51663 http://ontarioknife.com/fixed-blades/493-m9-bayonet-scabbard-black-detail.html https://www.vangcomp.com/Home.html { When she is all done...pics will be posted !! }
Real nice shotties gentlemen...!! Good to see and hear from ya Deuce & Support Gunner... Ya'll have a nice Memorial Day...I'm gonna go hug my favorite vet right now !!
The 590A1 is an awesome gun. I shot it a few times although ultimately went with an 870 Police - I, personally, like the 870P a little better because it was heavier, but thats just me.
