I have been buying boxes of ammo every time I go to Walmart or academy. I have WWB, Federal, Lawman and Remington. I heard it is easier to just drop them in Ziplocks then having them in there boxes when going to range. Is it ok to just drop them in one ziplock bag. Or should I separate them.

A purist will say keep them separate.

A manufacturer will say keep them in the origial box.

The reason is for just in case there is an issue with the ammo, you know which ammo it is without having to sort it out by headstamp.

It is also a good idea to keep some dessicant in the bag, since moisture can affect ammo potency and shelf life, if you bag 'em up.

I reload, so all my ammo is "my" brand, and if it's not in a reloader's ammo box, it's in a ziploc bag.

    Cheers!

Yea...I second that notion. When I dump my ammo into ziplocks, it's all the same manufacturer and lot number.

No mixing is the general rule...

What I came up with is cut off part of the box and put that in the ziplock. So I have no question what is what. Thanks guys.
