Well, I melted down the 43 lbs of wheel weights I bought last week and made em' into ingots. Paid $22 bucks for the initial 43 lbs, had to sort em' myself which was a lot of work and time consuming BUT at least I only got good "P" and "Micro" weights so no zinc, aluminum or iron to deal with.
Out of the 43 lbs of weights I got 34.2 lbs of ingots, enough to make around 1050 bullets so cost wise I'm looking at about $11 bucks for 500 bullets. Not too bad unless you want to factor in my time and labor.
This should get me enough bullets to finish loading the primed cases I have ready to go and make up quite a few more to boot for future shooting trips so I can keep my 1100 rounds of 45acp loaded up all the time.
The real fun starts tomorrow, I'll start casting then when I get about 500 done I'll lube, let dry, size then re-lube and then they'll be ready to load after they dry again.
