I'm interested in this carbine conversion:

The kit uses your Glock frame and magazines, it replaces the slide and barrel. Anyone ever handled one? What do you think? How does it compare to a Sub 2000? I'm looking at the base unit, not all the tacticool accessories...

I owned a Sub2000 in G17 and have shot the Mechtech of a friends. BUY THE SUB2000. The former will require tweaking most likely, the latter is rock solid from the get go and the CS is outstanding!

The glock upper receiver is removed (just like field stripping) and the Glock lower receiver (frame) is attached to the Mech Tech upper. The Mech Tech has it's own barrel an bolt inside the tube receiver. A simple an neat idea. There are a few guys on Youtube who show the unit being assembled.
