Have a gen 3 38 and love it. Ammo is a little harder to find but online its basically the same price as the acp.

So far only the 37s have been released in Gen4 and I think that's mostly because of FL Highway Patrol. If they hadn't insisted on the Gen4, the 37 would probably still be Gen 3 only.
