A little off the subject, but gas prices here in Houston (for the middle grade gas) jumped .20 cents a gallon in just 1 week. Being that I live in Houston and so much of our economy depends on the petroleum industry it doesn’t bother me near as much as the ammo prices.
…Yikes!…Now it jumped up another .50 cents a gallon!

The prices are still high locally but there's plenty available and the selection is good. The prices at some online vendors seems to be coming down a bit. Aim Surplus has a good selection of 9mm and the prices on a lot of the range ammo is in the $15-$17 range. I bought some Sig V-Crown +p (labeled M17) for ~$18 for a box of twenty. That was about $5 per box less than the regular V-Crown is locally.

Personally I’m only buying if I find 9 FMJ at $15/50 or under. I’m seeing.223 for under $10 a box of 20 but that’s still too rich for my blood. With inflation, material and transportation costs I doubt we’ll see $6 a box .223 again but I’m holding out for better than what it is now.
